We're in Anaheim on day 3 of a 7 day visit. We have a tour to USH planned for tomorrow (Wednesday). Haven't been to USH since they were building Jurrassic Park. I get a bit of motion sickness so never again for Back to the Future. Any comments or suggestions for rides not to miss (and for me to avoid!!) I enjoy Splash, I know Jurrassic Park is a bigger drop. Others in my group love Screamin' but I did it once and that was enough for me. Everyone else will probably try anything, but I'm not so brave. thanks for any help!!

Park has been seeing pretty steady crowds all week. The new Fear Factor show is now open. Because of the stunts involved in this show, they can only have so many per day due to the fact that everything must be inspected prior to each show. There is an hour and half gap between each show. Get there early if you want to see the show. Crowds have been full for it all week. There will be a fear factor show after the park closes at 7. The show will be at 730. people have been lining up for that show around 6 so beware. Check out Revenge of the Mummy. Indoor roller coaster. No drops. Just speed. You will not lose your stomach. Shrek 4D and the Studio Tour are must do's. Waterworld and Terminator are very good as well. Stop by Guest Relations in the morning. See Rob at the Plan Your Day booth and he will set you up with everything you need! ENjoy!

One of the best tips I can give you is to get there early. My friends and I went on this past Memorial Day and we decided on getting there when it opened. We were able to get on all the big rides that get long lines first, and then paced ourselves to do all the shows where they seat a lot of people at once. Getting there early allowed us not to get frustrated and hot and we left pretty early too. I think we were home (with returning holiday LA traffic) by 5 or so. It was nice. Have fun!

My teenage daughter and I spent 9 hours at Universal Studios today and had a BLAST. We arrived 15 minutes after opening, and I was stunned that it wasn't more crowded on opening.

We had NO interest in the Fear Factor show, so can't really comment on that. One of the employees was asking people arriving for the Studio Tour, if they were going to the Fear Factor show. She said that they were "supplying food". Everyone laughed, and she asked me if I was going. When I told her no, she wanted to know why. I said "I'm allergic to bugs". She said "that's good". I wasn't kidding. I have NO INTEREST in Fear Factor, on TV or otherwise.

Nearly everything we did today was walk right on. It was GREAT.

Have a great time -

Kim

"The show will be at 730"

Actually, the last show on both Wed and Thurs will be at 6:30. The reason the show has been delayed the past few days until half hour after park closing (or later-- the show went up at 8 on Monday!) is because NBC has been filming in and around the theater, so they needed time between each show for pick-up shots. Go see Fear Factor Live, it's turning out to be a real big crowd pleaser!

Also, beware the T2:3D will be closed all day Wednesday due to a Telemundo special event in the theater. Have fun!

Thanks for your info. I did brave Revenge of the Mummy. I'm such a coward but it was fun!
Our group had a great time!

What else did you guys enjoy on the trip? Was there anything you didn't enjoy? I will be heading there in a few weeks.

We enjoyed the tram tour. It had been several years since we last visited, at that visit "Murder She Wrote" seemed to be the show that was filmed at every corner. This trip it was "Crossing Jordan" :)

As I said, I am a coward but I trusted DisneyDustin22 and gave Revenge of the Mummy a try. At the beginning of the ride I wondered if I should have trusted him  but it was just short enough that it was ok for me and I did have fun. We also enjoyed Shrek. It was nice to take a break in air conditioning, it was much warmer at Universal than Disneyland.

We didn't try Fear Factor, not really interested. BackDraft is a great show, but quite warm inside!

Terminator was closed that day for a special event.

Water World was fun, we were in the WET zone and when they tell you that you will get wet, believe them!

It was a nice break from Disneyland, but it was great to finish our trip back in the Happiest Place on Earth!

Have Fun!

... the show went up at 8 on Monday ...

Yes, when I was there Tues. 07/05/05 last show for Fear Factor Live was 8 p.m.

Post script.
I did not fit in Mummy Revenge's seat.
I weigh 310 pounds, and the dang blasted safety bar needs to be brought down so-many inches for technical reasons I do not know about.
(It was tight enough, in my opinion, right where it was.)

Why??? -- I fit in Space Mountain, Monday 7/04/05, okay. (soft opening)
