Is there a way to instal OS 10.4 on my computer and not lose everyhting I have on it now. I have OS10.4 on it right now, but I think there maybe a problem. I wanted to just replace the OS and leave everyhting else the way it is. Can this be done? I'm running it on a I-Mac G5.

Yes, you want to do an "Archive and Install" installation. That will install a new system installation, and keep all your User folders, Preferences, and Applications.

You just need later to delete your old "Old System Folder", otherwise, it will just take up space.
