View Full Version : What film do you want to see the least?
Looking at some of the stuff I would immediately look at as junk, what do you feel is the worst?

I havent heard of any of those except Rush Hour 2, which i think will be pretty good if they keep it like the first one. Come on, how can you go wrong with Chris Tucker(hilarious) and Jackie Chan(martial arts extrodinare).

I'm voting based solely on the fact that John Travolta is in Swordfish. He drives me insane.

Actually, "Evolution" sounds pretty good to me. I can't help but have at least some interest in a supernatural comedy from the director of "Ghostbusters" and starring David Duchovny as an alien hunter...

Good insane or bad insane?
FYI,
A Knight's Tale - Excalibur meets MTV. It has the guy who played Mel Gibson's son in The Patriot.
Evolution- It might be alright. It has some good elements, but there is a big suck factor there
The Animal- Rob Schnieder. Who needs more than that.
Swordfish - It could be great or it could draw from the same well as Battlefield Earth
Cats and Dogs - Could be great, but it is animated and not Disney.
Soul Survivors- A girl is stuck between life and death.
another film with a big suck factor is Jurassic Park III. Most sequels suck badly, that is why I included Rush Hour 2 Also Jackie Chan has not had great luck with his US films. His films with Golden Harvest have been the ones I like the best.

You forgot--this is also the movie that Colleen from the original Survivor is in.

Anything with Rob Schnider is going to blow big time. I have to agree with lisap though, Travolta has gone from an actor I have enjoyed (WBK, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty) to an incredible hack and is quickly returning to talking baby territory. What a waste!:(

The animal, with rush hour 2 coming in a close second.

The Animal, no doubt. I totally had erased Rob Schneider's Deuce Bigelow out of my mind it was so bad, which is the only possible reason why I didn't put it on my worst movies list. I haven't even heard of most of those films. Knight's Tale looks dumb just because the music is totally wrong.
Evolution and Rush Hour 2 don't look too horrible, but I haven't seen previews or even heard of the other movies.

Did anyone actually see the Animal. I had not seen the previews when this post was first making the rounds. I've seen it (the preview) several times this last week and it looks like the worst movie ever. I mean for crying out loud, I know teenage boys will see anything and I'm not what you would call a sophisticated humorist (I loved American Pie) but that looks like the biggest piece of dung, why would anyone make that movie?

A) Because they can make it on the cheap
B) Rob Schnider's salary can be paid in cases of beer, I imagine
C) They have the added lure of America's sweetheart-Colleen from Survivor
D) Teens and Preteens will see almost anything
and Viola! Hollywood churns out another gem.
:)
Took the family to see A Knight's Tale and we all enjoyed it. It's right up our alley though. We also love to visit Renaissance Faires so we may be a little biased on this one. I worried that the more modern music and traits might screw it up but it really didn't. All in all it got 4 thumbs up, oops make that 3, my 2 year old fell asleep half way through it so he doesn't count. (We intentionally went to a late show hoping he would fall asleep).

Over at Rotten Tomatoes, the critics are giving The Animal positive reviews at about a 40% clip (or were when I checked on Friday).
What's the Worst That Could Happen? seems to be the stinker with only 15% positive reviews from critics (though it could be a situation of expectation levels; Danny DeVito should be funny so they were harder on him).
My recommendation, though: Go see Moulin Rouge. You may not like it, but you will see the entirely of the film medium used as art. That's a good thing.
