I loved Sam Rubin and Carlos Amezcua trying to remember the original Lands -- while sitting in the Plaza. They could have just looked around!
The Lovely Mrs. tod said that when somebody asked "What was Mickey's original name?" and Mark Kriski came up with ""Wille? Steamboat Willie?"-- a good guess, but no -- and there was a moment of silence... and then Mickey raised his hand!
The re-plamted Story Book Land marquee seems to have the "B" upside-down.

Michaela Periera just said it took six months for a million guests to visit Disneyland.
It was a matter of weeks, I believe seven.

KGTV Channel 10 ABC (also live from DLR) here in San Diego didn't do much better:
1. Disneyland opened 50 years ago today!
2. E-coupons
3. Magical Kingdom
4. etc. :rolleyes:

and theis leads me to ask...how do you kow when you go to DL to much??...LOL
I'm just enjoying watching the shows...I'm not nitpicking them to death...:)
and this leads me to ask...how do you know when you go to DL too much??...LOL

Please keep up dateing me I am at work and can not watch a tv.! Although I so think my stuidents would like watching it I wonder how I can make it into a state standard?

ARG- KTLA weather just said the chance of rain for tomorrow is 50%. Ah, well, we'll be there anyway. Maybe they'll be selling commemorative gold rain ponchos ;)

I just saw MP photographer Frank Anzalone when Sam Ruben did a long shot of the media photographers :D

Sam Rubin just held up a replica of a ticket book and the "E Ticket" said "E Coupon" on it.
So it may be wrong, but it was certainly understandable... and maybe it wasn't wrong at all.

KRTH news just said the chance of rain tonight had dropped from 50% to 30%. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Not that rain will keep us away tomorrow...

So it may be wrong, but it was certainly understandable... and maybe it wasn't wrong at all.
--tI stand corrected. A quick check of my old ticket books confirmed that they were called "coupons" - it just sounded weird. An E "coupon" ride??? Weird! ;)

Loved the coverage ---
pointed at Darkbeer and Deogge's Mom outside Frontierland.
Saw a team I recognized from MA
Applauded when GOALS was mentioned (I interned with them for a year)
Was shouting at Mark Kriski for misstating a great deal of info
Cried everytime they showed Uncle Walt
Smiled when they interviewed Art Linkletter
I had a busy morning watching the ENTIRE newscast

I loved watching it as it got me so very excited for tomorrow!!!
Chip has the black nose...Dale is red...I've asked them directly :)
I really hope that it doesnt rain tomorrow but all signs are pointing to the fact that it will at one point tomorrow! argh! :)

Did you see him say "Disney World" instead of DisneyLAND in front of that crowd in front of Tomorrowland? The crowd BOO'd him, LOL.
Did you see Frank? When Sam started showing the photographers I was ALL over the screen to find him! LOL

at one point he was going to be called Mortimer Mouse, but his actual original name was Mickey Mousestein.
