Most people I have talked to think we should bring one incase she gets tired and such. just a small umbrella one.
Any thoughts???
Thanks,

Bring it! At least it can hold jackets and stuff. If she isn't potty trained, or even just in case, bring a extra change of clothes for her too. You can always use it if you need for her, or use it in one spot to hold stuff.

just my two cents.
i think it's fine. i have a 6 year old now and stroller her - it keeps her happy, it keeps her energized, and we as a whole are able to cover more ground and see more in the park that day. i wouldn't think she's "lazy" - DLR is a lot of walking for any one - even adults that are in shape are tired at the end of a long day of walking miles around the park.
nothing dampens the experience in the park like a cranky, tired child - my vote is in favor of wheeling her - she's there to have fun, not build up her stamina.

I vote yes, bring the stroller or rent one there (I think it is only $7 a day)

Certainly! I am taking my 8 year old girl in 11 days (YAY!) and she begged me to bring her baby sister's jogging stroller and push her around! I would if it fit in my trunk. Also, if your little girl is one to run ahead of you while she is excited, having her in a stroller will help with that too! Good luck and have a great time!

I second that motion... it will help her get through the day as she has the chance to rest her feet a bit also... when my daughter (3yrs) refuses to sit in her stroller for a spell, i make her hold onto the stroller especially when we go to the "parks" ... ;)

Another vote for yes. We rented one for our neice and nephew (8 and 5 respectively) and we discovered how stinking handy ther are to hold stuff. We may just rent one again just for that purpose from now on even though we dont have kids. Very handy :)

I would definitely stroller her. If you have a small umbrella stroller, those are perfect. If not just rent a stroller while you are there. My dd had a stroller until she wouldn't fit in it. Early in the day when they don't want the stroller it's great for jackets, etc...

If you think she needs it then yes. I though my DD would need one on our first trip, she was a bit over 3, and she never did. On our last day I got one because we would be on the go more , covering fav rides, shoping etc. Her older sister and cousins sat it in more then she did.

ITA with the previous posters.
We used to bring a stroller just for our 2 year old DS and had our 4 year old DD walk, ride on the back step of the stroller (a great feature to have) or ride on the shoulders of my DH. While my DD has a lot of energy, we found that she was getting really tired in the afternoon. As a result, we'd have to end our visits earlier than expected. One morning when we were at DCA, a family noticed that my DD and I were walking w/o a stroller. They gave us their rented stroller to use for the rest of the day since they were leaving and it was wonderful! She wasn't as tired or cranky by the late afternoon. I realized at that point that even though she's four, she still needs a place to conserve energy and rest from time to time. Now we use a double SBS stroller that's compact enough for the DLR and we can stay longer at the park!

I recomend them for any age, heck if I could fit in one I would have some one stroll me around :) yep, take it, maybe you can let her push you when you need that rest ha ha ha

hehe AGREED! I buy the double mainly for the storage capabilities and my 5yr old but my 9yr old has been known to hitch a right at the end of a long night. Wish I took a picture of the two of them sleeping together in it, would make for a killer avatar. LOL

My son will be just a couple weeks shy of his fifth bday when we go and I'm planning on using a stroller. I can't even imagine his tiny little legs trying to keep up with his bigger brother and sister in a place like Disneyland.... Not to mention the fact that he whines about tired legs just checking out the mall !
Uh oh.
I say n-o, No.
Take the parks at the child's pace. Listen to your child's body saying I'm overstimulated, this is too much, I need to flop down on that bench or go back to the hotel and swim.

Four Years Old...I would say probably...I would just take an umbrella stroller...not some big bulky thing. Just keep in mind they may seem big for it. The only reason why I say probably is because my daughter will be 4 this summer and still takes naps. My son did not at this age but my daughter still does and that way your little one can cat nap if necessary.
My daughter will be about 5 1/2 when we go back and I do not plan on taking a stroller. It can sometimes be a hassle having to park strollers and all that...not having one will make it easier to hop from ride to ride to ride....you get the drift. ;)
Edited to add: We never used our stroller much at all during the Mickeys not So Scary Halloween Party- just for her to sit in to watch the Cinderella show and parades, etc. She bounced from ride to ride and never got wore out. She fell asleep on our bus ride back to our hotel...and this was after midnight after the park closed.

When my daughter was almost 5 we went and my husband vetoed bringing the umbrella stroller, he thought she was too old and would not need it. I relented and did not even put the umbrella stroller in the car....Darn the 1st day was fine the next 4 days she had sore feet (like a lot of adults too) so we rented a stroller for 4 days = $28. oh well she felt better

My youngest will turn five at Disneyland next December, and I anticipate we'll use a stroller on that trip, as we did last December and as we did years before when my middle daughter was five.
Our older two have a lot of energy and want to do more in a day than we might do if our oldest child was four or five. If our oldest was that young, we'd most likely have a slower pace.
I've loved having a stroller for my preschool/kindergarten children at Disneyland.....they feel so safe and confined, have their own little resting spot, and they're less grumpy than if they're expected to walk all over at someone else's pace.
The only place I've used our current stroller the past few years has been at Disneyland. My youngest refused to use one anywhere else since before she was two, so she's definitely not lazy. ;)

My DS (now 6½) gave up his stroller when he was about 20 mos. I haven't been able to get him in one since...not even at Disneyland. DH is getting very strong shoulders. ;)
I have a now 7 and 9 year old. We bring a double jogging stroller. My daughter (9 year old) doesn't sit in it very much, but when they do get tired after being in the park from opening to closing, they always use it. If they are not sitting in it, our stuff gets thrown in it.

I guess I'm in the minority. My 6 year old daughter has not used a stroller at all since she was 3 and her 3 year old sister has almost abandoned it as well. The six year old has done the San Diego Zoo all day, downtown Seattle all day and many other places more challenging/hilly than D-land as well as Dland and never had a problem. We take breaks and bring lots of water.

Yes, bring the stroller! I have 3 children and we always rent two. On our last trip we spent $70 on stroller rentals  My DS is 3 and my middle DD is 6. She does not have the stamina that my oldest DD 8 has. Plus the strollers are great for holding sweatshirts, water bottles, backpacks, snacks etc...
