an iPod is the slippery slope to happiness - I got a 40GB one last year - then of course got iTunes and now I have a Mac mini. There is no turning back once you savour the delights of the apple.

I actually ordered my iPod using my points accumulated on our Diners Card, so it was a "freebie". It only has 20 GB, but that should be plenty for me. It says it will hold 5000 songs. I have been playing around with iTunes (just registered). I would love to have the picture iPod! Better start charging on the Diners again. :D

Too funny - I just bought an iPod Mini (aluminum) Friday afternoon. I intended to by a 1GB shuffle, but for $50 more I got 4x the space. Couldn't resist

heh, I still haven't taken the protective plastic off the dial yet :rolleyes:.

The Shuffle is the talk of the management around work - battling Microsoft by removing features, and winning.

The iPod Shuffle is the one product that makes no sense to me whatsoever. I just can't believe there is any market for a device that gives you so little control. Do people really listen to music that way?

i've seen people (a marginal number of those infected mind you) on the trains with the shuffle.

i remember once seeing someone with a sony vaio music clip about 8 years ago or so and being so jealous. apple decides to finally invade that market almost a decade later and still shows modest success (and still offers so much less than its competitors!).
