Saw something about the Avalanche trackless bobsled ride in a magazine - is this ride any good?

A number of coaster websites had it in the "middle" range for thrills, speed, etc.

Was wondering if this would be a potential new variation for either a refurbished Matterhorn at Disneyland or a completely new version in Florida or Paris ................

There was a trackless bobsled ride about 20 years ago at SF Magic Mountain called The Sarejevo Bobsleds. It was there only 2 years in the location currently occupied by Psyclone. They took it out and put in Shockwave (the first standup coaster there) before finally building Psyclone in the same spot. It was VERY noisy as you had metal-wheeled bobsled cars running down metal troughs and was clunky and not much fun. It deserved to be retired. I hope the technology has improved enough by now to make this new ride worth riding.

Wow - lived in SoCal all my life and can't remember that ride.......

Oh well, didn't then and don't now make the trek up to Valencia very often .................
