Hakuna Makarla 03-22-2005, 09:50 PM when the kid looks to be 15 and you are still passing them off as 10 :) it might be time to pay the adult price experiment626 03-22-2005, 10:03 PM Um...that is not what I am asking. I am asking what are the RULES for ages. Not how long can you get away with passing them off as a kid. Hakuna Makarla 03-22-2005, 10:05 PM Um...that is not what I am asking. Forgive me, I am so tired and can not sleep,.this is usually the time I go bonkers :) Be back soon if I find the info ok. by the way what buffet? at most its 10 and under for kids prices, and above that adult prices( for buffets around here. Are you talking in the park Character dining ? experiment626 03-22-2005, 10:08 PM That woudl be great. I have looked and so far can not come up with any answers. experiment626 03-22-2005, 10:10 PM I think I may have finally found the answer looks like 12 and under are kids and 13 and older adults, if what i have found is not out of date. Hakuna Makarla 03-22-2005, 10:12 PM children (3-9) $14.80 (includes tax and gratuities) adults (10+) $27.25 (includes tax and gratuities) I got this frm another thread. hope it helps thias was just posted a week ago. experiment626 03-22-2005, 10:19 PM I am guessing that I am not going to find a real answer on the internet, unfortunetly. Bummer. Thanks for your help. purplekisses2000 03-22-2005, 11:34 PM When I made PS at Goofy's Kitchen I asked the ages for the buffet 12 and under are kids. This is what I was told last month. JeffG 03-23-2005, 07:47 AM When I made PS at Goofy's Kitchen I asked the ages for the buffet 12 and under are kids. This is what I was told last month. Just as a small clarification, the kid price is actually for ages 3-12. They assume that kids under 3 will eat very little and, thus, there is no charge. -Jeff experiment626 03-23-2005, 08:11 AM I have found now 3 different answers. Mouseplanet (dining guide) & purplekisses2000 gives it as being 12 or under. Disboards I found the answers to be 11 & under. And Hakuna Makarla found 10 and under. UGH! I am hoping for the 12 & under. I want to take my soon to be 12 year old to the Lilo and Stitch Breakfast when we go in July but she is such a light eater that I do not want to pay $20 for her to just eat hashbrowns. I don't mind pay the kid price for her, because I know she will enjoy it. Guess I will have to call and find out for sure what the policy is "straight from the mouse's mouth." kohl 03-23-2005, 09:32 AM You can call the Disney Dining # and they can tell you (714) 781-3463 This way you will have the correct answer. Family5LovesDisney 03-23-2005, 10:07 AM What is the age guidelines for kids for Buffets? Meaning at what age do you pay the kids price vs the adult price? The menu said 12 and under for the Lilo and Stitch buffet and for the Captain Mickey character meal at Ariel's Grotto. However, the Carnation Cafe, Main Street Disneyland said ages 9 and under on the children's menu. My son is 10 and didn't like a thing on the adult menu so the waitress said that it would be fine for him to order from it even though he was 10. experiment626 03-23-2005, 11:30 AM You can call the Disney Dining # and they can tell you (714) 781-3463 This way you will have the correct answer. I am on hold right now with them. Hopefully I will get a CM who knows that they are talking about...I am sure we have all gotten CM's that say one thing but then talk to somoene else who has been told a completely different answer. Mark Goldhaber 03-23-2005, 06:35 PM Yeppers. Wendi 03-23-2005, 10:27 PM So kids that are 2 would be free at all the buffet locations at the resort and can still eat off their parents' plates (Princess Breakfast, Lilo & Stitch, Goofy's Kitchen)? They don't even have to eat off your plate, they'll get their own... the full shabang! Pretty nice. experiment626 04-08-2005, 06:47 PM I just got an answer via email. All character meals kids are ages 3 - 11. I had to get clarification after their initial response because they noted that Airels Grotto was 3 - 12 but the others 3 -11. They responded that ALL are 3 -11. So it looks like I have two options. Lie or Skip. So I guess no Stitch breakfast for us. hlbtimes2 04-08-2005, 10:02 PM I would double check when you get there- see what the sign says. Sounds like there is some difference in opinion depending on who you ask. Or call that particular place and ask them. adriennek 04-08-2005, 10:08 PM I'm glad to read this. I remember going a few years ago and having to pay for an under-3-year-old to see Poo. Adrienne experiment626 04-09-2005, 08:48 PM I thought about asking when it is time to make PS but I would hate to be told that my 12yo would be a child then arrive and have to pay adult price. I am not willing to pay $20 for her to eat a scoop of hashbrowns/breakfast potatos. disney jones 04-12-2005, 02:39 AM I'm glad to read this. I remember going a few years ago and having to pay for an under-3-year-old to see Poo. Adriennewhen my littlest was still 2, we didn't have to pay for her, and knew the under 3 rule. Did you tell them your child was not yet 3, or did they ask?? or did they just assume and bill you? rentayenta 04-12-2005, 07:46 AM I'm glad to read this. And, yes, we confirmed. And yes, they made us pay. At the time, the buffets required you to pay for anyone who ate. He ate, he paid. That's why we would go to the PCH Grill breakfast- if the restaurant had a menu option, they didn't force us to pay for him. It was when the Poo character breakfast at PI was brand new. Adrienne |
