Hi all

Im planning a trip for 5, 3 adults & 2 kids (girls ages 6 & 9) and was trying to find the best deluxe resort for them.

Im planning on stay for 3 nights at the Pop Century Resort, with to adjoining rooms, but then wanted to surprise my family with a 3 night stay at a deluxe resort...but hard to decide.

I narrowed it down to Fort Wilderness Cabin ( for the space & all the recreational activities there) or Beach Club (for Storm Along Bay and location to Epcot & MGM) or...can you guys think of someplace else? I really want it to be for the kids, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanx so much, I love this board!!!

I put a vote in for Beach Club. Stormalong Bay is great and your kids will love it. The rooms are really nice there.

I second Beach Club.... WL is also a nice choice. Both have some decent transportation options if you get creative.

I think a cabin at FW would be kinda cool as well.

While I absolutely LOVE the Fort Wilderness Cabins, if this is supposed to be for the kids, I'd have to go with the Beach Club as well. The Cabins are fantastic but very laid back. I think a six year old and a nine year old would be fairly active and would love Stormalong Bay and being close to Epcot and MGM. Don't forget that the Boardwalk is right there for night time activities. There's usually family entertainment of some sort. Fantasia miniature golf is a walk away across the street from the Swan.

We took our daughters ages 6 & 9 in June 2002 to the Beach Club and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They loved Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club. This is what they still talk about. We are going to the Polynesian in June and it was hard to get them to try the Poly because they wanted to go back to the Beach Club. Also, it is in short proximity to the Boardwalk which they will like. You can rent pedalled surreys and ride all around the lake.

Please feel free to refer to my trip report for more details.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is also very nice for that age. They have lots of scheduled activities right at the lodge and the pool is also very nice. You do feel a little more isolated at the lodge but for a three night stay, I don't think that would be a problem.
