Ok...I purchased the Norton Internet Security at a GREAT rate...so I go to install it on my home computer...it did not go well. I tried online help and all that. Somehow my Norton 2004 became corrupt while it Internet Security was trying to remove it and other "threats"...so then I could not delete or remove Norton Antivirus off of my computer! So you know what that led too....a well deserved bottle of coca-cola (only my second one this week) and a night of reformatting my computer.
The computer was in serious need of being reformatted...it had been 9 months since I did it last. So, now all of the programs and drivers are back on. I just have to download all of the Windows Updates and all of the Norton updates then the things like AIM and so on. So we are almost 100% back to normal again.
I amaze myself. Everytime I reformat my computer I get faster at it and it tends to go smoother. I think it was only about 4 hours total of reinstalling stuff and reformatting it. That is really not that bad...but I will be online downloading updates all night tonight, I am sure. I am pretty sure me reformatting it on the average of every 6 months is the only thing that has kept this thing going as good as it is. It is a 5 year old computer...ancient in many people's eyes.
So, have you ever experienced something like this? Where you go to do something nice and easy on your computer and it becomes a major annoying chore!! LOL...oh well...at least my computer is back up to par now and all "cleaned off". :geek:
