This Sunday, March 6, 2005

Six Flags Magic Mountain celebrates the most festive of Jewish holidays on Sunday, March 6, 2005 when the Xtreme Park hosts the second annual PurimFest. The Festival of Purim commemorates a major victory over oppression and is celebrated with prizes, noisemakers, costumes and treats. PurimFest, "The World's Largest Purim Carnival," is a unique opportunity to expand connections to the Jewish community as they celebrate the holiday of Purim with unbridled joy and enthusiasm.

Purim is celebrated throughout the world with carnivals, entertainment, face painters, costumes, masks and special food. Performances by temple choirs from throughout Southern California in the Golden Bear Theater Plaza highlight the festivities.

Kosher food vendors will provide food especially for the day. Arts and crafts for children, face painters and youth choirs will round out the festivities.

Park hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 6 and all activities are free with paid park admission.
