We are planning another trip to WDW this Dec., and by then, our son will be 4 y/o. I seem to remember there are some resorts that have in-room babysitting available and/or kid activities for children 4 and over. Does anyone happen to know which resorts those are? Are they only the deluxe ones, or do the moderates have that option as well? Hubby and I would love to get in a dinner for just the two of us at some point. Thanks!

The deluxe have kiddie centers (Neverland at Poly), anyone can use them but you have to make a reservation for your child. I have look at Simba's club at Animal Kingdom but have not experienced it since my son will just be four next month.

We used the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club back in 2003, and our (then-)5YO son had a great time. Even threw a fit when we told him it was time to leave. (I think he just wasn't done flirting with the pretty girls running the place.)

As hersheythecat said, there's also the Neverland Club at the Polynesian, which just got a bit of a refurb and Simba's Cubhouse at the AKL, as well as the Mouseketeer Clubhouse at the Grand Floridian and the Cub's Den at the Wilderness Lodge.

In-room babysitting is provided by outside contractors. Disney has a preferred service, but there are others that will come to your room. We've never used one of them, though, so I can't really tell you about them.

Thanks for the heads up! That will definitely play into deciding which resort to stay at this next trip.

Dolphin and/or Swan have a supervised place for kids.

We also used the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club. My daughters 6 & 9 were unenthusiastic about going. They thought it would be boring. They had the best time and didn't want to leave when we came to get them. Their highlight was that the staff feed ducks and rabbitts at the back door. So, they had baby ducklings and baby bunnies coming right up to the back door.

The staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend it. Lots to do for the kids or they can just grab a quiet corner and read or play dolls.
