Of course it won't be for another 3-4 more years or more maybe they'll think of something else like a possible VAN HELSING RIDE or something creative!!!! I hope for a newer version of KING KONG for the new movie that's coming out later this year.

Fear Factor Live is their next big attraction. Opening this summer. Taking guests in the park and allowing them to experience a full live stage version of the hit Fear Factor show on NBC. As far as a new "ride", it may be sometime before you see that. Seeing as how USH lacks space to really construct a new ride building. They (theme park) owns the two soundstages located next to Special Effects and behind Mummy. They used them for the Small Soldiers attraction they had a few years back. However, they currently rent them out to the studio for production purposes. Designing a new attraction in them would require a renovation of the back end of the lower lot to accomodate park guests. Seeing as how NBC now runs the show, and that they have an entire movie studio at their disposal, I doubt you would see anything put in there anytime soon.

Rumor has it though that Waterworld is in it's last year of showing. As far as what would take its place, your guess is as good as anyones. There was some talk of bringing Spiderman the Ride that they have in USF and duplicating it here, but Waterworld sits on a prime location for a live show and I doubt you will see them fill that in with a show building. I wouldnt mind seeing a live action Gladiator type show. Guests sit in a mock up of the Collesium and witness key action sequences from the hit movie.

Keep in mind too that West still sits as a empty venue as of today. Only serving as a storage facility and break room for employees. (totaly fun b/c we get to play on the set!) THere is a lot of empty space in USH and with a little re-designing, could actually yield to some nifty attractions if the right minds are brought in. NBC looks to have taken the reins of this runaway stagecoach and for now, has kept on us the trail. It looks like for the most part, things are on the up and rising for USH. Only time will tell...

I think they need another "family-friendly" ride now that ET is gone. At 26 I'm scared to go on Revenge of the Mummy , I can just imagine what a Van Helsing ride would be like... oy!

Like DisneyDustin22 said, NBC is running the show. Maybe they'll put in some more TV-themed attractions (besides Fear Factor) like a Soap Opera something (hey -- maybe their own Soap Opera Bistro). The problem is I don't think they can use anything that Warner Brothers owns, like "West Wing" and "Friends."

Because USH tapes more movies and TV shows than USF, any "loud" attraction HAS to be inside -- you can't have people screaming over any shows they try to do (imagine what "Desperate Housewives" would sound like!).

Well, The Mummy's Revenge was their latest investment and look how long it's been since the release of the first film before the ride was opened.

Bottom line USH needs a few more kid's related attractions. Even if they were just simple dark rides like DL has in Fantasyland. They have the space for them. At least something, like a spongebob ride where you feel like you're underwater or a Grinch ride. I hear all the time from guests, "Where are the kids rides? What is there for my little ones to do?" I think it would be benneficial for them to invest a few million into a new kid's themed land. I would rather see that than another big-budget attraction or "live action show".

What about something like Men In Black from Florida?

Certainly wouldn't mind seeing them do a new film for Back To The Future either, it's a wee bit dated. It would be amazing if they could do an actual 3D movie in that space, with the BTTF theme, or do a complete overhaul and turn it into a all cg Spider-Man movie - in which case it would be different than what is in Florida obviously to fit into that theater.

It would be nice to see the Hollywood park receive some more frequent additions. Mummy was a great start, like to see them keep bringing something new to our socal theme park marketplace.

I will take either the Spiderman ride or Men In Black!I'm still trying to get over the mental trip of Spiderman, the Musical. This is usually where I break out into my mock impersonation of the show (which I still have not yet seen). But my little song and dance number is best performed in person.

Spidermen Rocks is gone I think. It was lame anyways. I am vey surprised that this would be the last year of Waterworld since it is the most popular show. I miss the Wild Wild Wild west stunt show. I think that there should be something orginal put in(as in not from Florida) and it should be family themed. Maybe a Nickelodeon themed ride or something.

Florida already has the Jimmy Neutron and Friends ride which is their Nicktoons ride. I don’t remember that being at USH. It’s a “virtual” ride though which I’m kind of bored of. You know, sit in a little “car” that lifts up, shakes and dips to the movie and we all think we were on a real ride. I suppose it works well for a cartoon themed ride though so I shouldn’t complain. I’m just hoping for the next “best” attraction and the last couple have been at Universal rather than Disney. We’ll see if they can keep it up.

The irony of the Jimmy ride though is that there is a height limit (at least 40”) so the little kids can’t ride on it anyway. Crazy huh? That’s the same height limit as Spiderman and MIB mind you.

hmm I didn't know about the Jimmy Neutron ride, at Great America they have a spongebob one just like that. I am thinking more along the lines of a dark ride like ET or something.

I don't think it's a case of "little kids can't ride it". I think they just have to sit in the stationary seats provided.

My 60 yr. old mother rode Revenge of The Mummy, and she is terrified of roller coasters. It really is pretty tame by coaster standards, it's more of a good dark ride. I'm still not sure why we needed to use a locker to store loose articles, it doesn't move that fast.

Actually.. The next planned "Attraction" will be next year sometime and it will be part of the backlot tram tour.
