I am very lucky that I have two very patient men in my life who know a lot about computers and who like me well enough to answer most of the lame questions I have. So far, they haven't been able to answer this one. (And if one of them answers on this thread, I'm going to feel so bad.)
So rather than sit with Google and try to find the answer online, I'm going to take the Lazy Route and ask here :D
With IE, I could do the click and hold thing to "copy link to scrapbook" and capture links to paste into IM windows, e-mails, articles, etc.
I haven't figured out how to do this in Safari and when I click on "Safari Help" I get a message that Help is not available.
Any ideas? DisneylandForever? StupidAmerican? Thanks!
Adrienne

I only use Safari, and when I wanna place a link or a pic into a IM box or an e-mail, I literally just drag and drop! I have iChat and if I wanna show somebody a pic that's what I do and it works pretty much every time (unless the file is huge). Is that what you're talking about? I'm afraid I never use IE on my Mac so I'm not sure what the scrapbook is for. Are you trying to save these links/images, or just place them in e-mails and/or IM boxes?

I'm composing an e-mail in MacMail and I want to insert a link from Safari. So say I want to link this forum but I don't want to have to open the new window to get the URL- In IE I could click-hold and I'd get a little dropdown menu. Maybe it said Clipboard not scrapbook (I'm feeling REALLY lame right now.) But one of the the choices was "Download link" one was "Copy link to clipboard" then I could go to my email and do command-v and paste the link into my e-mail.
Does that make sense at all?
So what you're saying is click on the link and drag it into my MacMail window? I'll try that.

Yeah, and if for some reason it doesn't work I'm pretty sure you can click on the little icon inside the address bar (ex Yahoo has the little red Y!) and drag that. But if I remember correctly yeah I just double-click the link to make it highlighted, and grab it and drop it into the e-mail or IM box. I would try it now to make sure but I'm at work, and here we use those ugly beige boxes called PC's (aka pieces of you-know)! Hope it works...
