Just heard on the news today that the winning quarterback of the Superbowl will no longer be shouting "I'm Going to Disneyland" or "I'm Going to Disneyworld". Disney has decided that this advertising campaign no longer fits in with their new advertising strategy.
I am sad to see this go. It was always a favorite of mine.

They aren't doing a commercial after this year's Super Bowl due to the major advertising campaigns that they just kicked off for the 50th Anniversary celebration and the Magic Your Way tickets. They didn't say that they wouldn't ever do the commercials again.

With all of the money that they're plowing into the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" campaign and the "Magic Your Way" campaign, it's not a good idea to split the advertising budget even more. Next year is Super Bowl XL, on ABC. You can bet your sweet bippy that the campaign will return next year.

Not to mention the fact that they are getting a lot more free publicity out of announcing the fact that they aren't doing the spot than they would have by actually spending the money to run the spot. sneaky buggers.

I never thought of that.
