I down loaded this browser as most of you said its way better then explorer, my question is why can I not use the cut and paster in my posts when I am in this browser ? instead of quoting the last post I like to just cut and paste specific sentences and I can not seem to do this with mozilla. why is this?
Also I notice it takes longer to load up and my explorer loads right away. I have dsl so I run very fast also.
I had zone alarm but I could not hardly get on it, I am not sure why but I had to wait for ever to load my post or to read each post because of load times, I have since gotten rid of zone alarm and run so fast I am amazed!
I like the firefox, but it has quirks I do not like,. ie the cut and paste etc.

Exactly what steps are you using to cut and paste? I use Firefox and haven't had any problems at all with cutting and pasting. Considering that cut/paste are really more of an OS feature than a browser feature, you shouldn't have a problem unless you are doing something non-standard.

blue my words, right click and hit the word paste, is there another way to do this?

Well, first you have to copy the highlighted text. Then paste.

Highlight the text.

Right click, select copy.

Place the cursor where you want to have the text appear.

Right click, select paste.

Worked for me just a second ago.

Hmmm... Copy/paste is working fine for me. I can't understand why it's not working for you.

Have you tried to use Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste)?
Also I notice it takes longer to load up and my explorer loads right away.
That's because Explorer is built into the Windows operating system. It's sort of always running in the background. When you open IE you're really just opening a "window" like opening a folder.

When you open Firefox it has to be loaded into memory like any other program you open.

I tried both ways, very weird. Oh well I am not sure why the paste word does not come up, but what does come up when I right click is
back
reload
book mark this page
save page as,
send link
select all
etc.

Karla, that set of menu choices indicates to me that you have clicked into an area that does not accept pasted text. For example, a section of a Web page that is not a form field. As a test, click the "quick reply" http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/images/buttons/quickreply.gif button below this post and try pasting into that text box.

I tried all day. It just will not work.
it works fine if I use explorer but not mozilla. I am not sure why, just real weird. I like to cut and paste instead of quote at times because there is to much text. so hence the cut and paste.
When I highlight the text and click there is the word copy, but when I go to paste it says those other words. ( see above) I am using mozilla now and can not cut and paste, I will go back now using explorer and show you that one works but not the mozilla.

Count me in the 'no problems with Firefox' column. I tried replicating your issues, but could not. Sorry.

The only thing I can suggest is to dl a new copy, uninstall, and reinstall. It is possible that something go corrupted. I know you'd prefer an easier answer, but I'm affraid I don't have one.
