Does anyone know if the Small World, Dumbo or the Rocket Ships will be opening sooner than scheduled? In all, will the repairs or referbishment be done by February 8th? I promised my little girl we'll go back to Disneyworld and that's our scheduled date to arrive, departing on the 13th of February.
All her favorite rides, the three mentioned will be shut down, major bummer.
Just hoping somebody knows something w/good news.
Thanks in advance.

The Astro Orbitor and Dumbo have pretty much been completely disassembled. They most likely will not reopen ahead of schedule.
"it's a small world" will not reopen prior to March.

That is too bad, Kevin. Dumbo is such a huge draw for little kids too. The line at Disneyland is always astronomically long....
How about The Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride over in Adventureland? It's not Dumbo, but it's kind of similar. Hopefully she'd like that as a substitute. :)

Both my 8 year old and 3 year old actually liked the carpets a tad better since they prefer Aladdin over Dumbo movie wise. Plus, I think only two people can ride in a Dumbo unit where 4 can go in the carpets..that was nice for a family of four :) we got some cute pictures on that ride.
The Dino one is fun as well at Animal Kingdom.
We never rode Dumbo on the first trip due to wait times. We rode it twice on the night of Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party due to there being no wait at all.
I do understand your disappointment though- but I would give the Magic Carpet Ride a whirl (no pun intended, LOL :))

Just read the operational updates on Disney's website and it said that Dumbo will be closed until February 12th. You just might make it!! :D

My daughter keeps reminded me we're going to Disneyworld SOON!
Then she stipulates......"going on the Small World, Tea Cups, Rocket Ships....
I'm going to be very unpopular when I break the news, but Aladin's carpet ride is a great idea! We, my daughter Jacqueline and I did ride (Aladdin) last year in April only to witness the nice prim and proper lady behind us get a face of water splattered on her. Either way, we'll do that, hope Dumbo is open sooner, but the biggest bummer is Small World, she so loves that ride in Disneyland and at Disneyworld! That was the second ride we went on after Peter Pan's adventure last year.
I consider myself very fortunate to have taken her so many times, a thousand thank you very much are in order for my good buddy Glen and his generosity while still employed for Disney animation and his much welcome time and assistance.
This is a great community and I feel happy to be here.
All the best,
Kevin
