Bill Catherall 12-27-2004, 01:11 PM You need to subscribe in order to have an avatar. Click the subscribe (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/subscriptions.php?) link at the top of the page for more info. Tui 12-27-2004, 07:59 PM Personally I find that to be unfair, when every other Disney site out there with a message board provides free avatars, and yes I know...if I have a problem PM someone. AVP 12-27-2004, 08:53 PM Personally I find that to be unfair, when every other Disney site out there with a message board provides free avatars, and yes I know...if I have a problem PM someone. If you want to discuss it here, you certainly can. It might help if you read some of the previous threads on the subject. There's one at the very top of this forum, and it's been going on for about 8 months. I don't think there's really anything we can add to the conversation, but maybe you have a question that hasn't been asked and answered. Or maybe not. AVP cstephens 12-27-2004, 08:57 PM Personally I find that to be unfair, when every other Disney site out there with a message board provides free avatars, and yes I know...if I have a problem PM someone. Actually, that's not true, not every other Disney site with message boards allows avatars. But regardless, what does "fair" have to do with it? It's a free service otherwise. Having an avatar isn't a necessity. If you want the decoration, then you can choose to pay for it. Personally, I'm not a fan of avatars, but if you have to have one, there's a way for you to get one. Shinku 12-27-2004, 09:19 PM Well put. Would I like an avatar? Sure! Is it a necessity? No, but if it helps mouseplanet make a few extra bucks to cover bandwidth costs, I'm all for people having to pay to have one. Hosting a site as big as this isn't cheap, y'all. We take a lot of their services for granted and just expect them to continue to work and yet, few donate the cash required to keep it running. If I had a couple more dollars in my bank account, I'd definately subscribe, but as it stands I'm grouped in with that whole "poor college kid" set. "Unfair"? Hahaha! I love it when people use that word and apparantly have no idea what "fair" means. See my sig line. So basically, you think all Disney sites should be exactly the same? If one site offers one feature, all sites should offer that same feature. Right? What's the point of that? What use is there in have 14 different sites that are all exactly the same? I thought variety was a good thing. I thought having the ability to pick and choose the site you felt most comfortable at, that offered the most features you wanted, and that had the atmosphere you desired would be better than joining the ones you don't like and complaining that they don't offer the same features as the ones you do like. Meh. Tui 12-29-2004, 02:51 PM See my sig line. Wow, what a great sig, I think I found something that can put me to sleep faster than Nyquil. cstephens 12-29-2004, 03:46 PM Wow, what a great sig, I think I found something that can put me to sleep faster than Nyquil. I don't think it's fair that you're making derogatory remarks about Nyquil. Tui 12-29-2004, 03:54 PM It wasn't meant as a deregatory remark towards Nyquil, in fact I am going to find out Nyquil's customer service line, and recommend that they put Bill's signature on the box, I think sales are going to boost. AVP 12-29-2004, 04:02 PM I don't think it's fair that you're making derogatory remarks about Nyquil.I don't think it's fair that Babylon 5 references go unrecognized so frequently. I also don't think it's fair that Jeremiah "ended" early. Heck, I'm not sure that anything that has to do with JMS and television has been fair. Hello, Crusade anyone? I'm going to go pout for a while now. AVP Tui 12-29-2004, 05:17 PM Well I think...I think, oh no I'm reading Bills sig again, here I go....ZZZZZZZZZZ cstephens 12-29-2004, 05:28 PM I don't think it's fair that Snow White gets preferential status. What did she ever do? Play around with some animals. Deal with a wicked stepmother. Do some laundry. Lots of people do that. It's not like she's Solomon or anything. So why does she get to be called "the fairest of them all"? Does she always cut a pie into equal slices? Does she spend the same amount of money for all of her friends' presents? Does she monitor merging traffic lanes to make sure one car from each goes through at a time? It's just not fair! Corwin17 12-29-2004, 05:36 PM I don't think it's fair that Babylon 5 references go unrecognized so frequently. ZOG! Bill Catherall 12-30-2004, 09:08 AM ZOG! Oooh, two B5 references in just a one word post. I believe that's a record. AVP 12-30-2004, 09:31 PM I don't think it's fair that Snow White gets preferential status. So, explain why Belle gets to be a princess? As Cruella and Pocahontas have both pointed out to me, she NEVER MARRIED the Beast. She doesn't have a wedding ring. Her father most certainly is not royalty. How does she rate a tiara? AVP - who thinks that hearing Cruella call Belle "Ding Dong" was one of the funniest character moments in history. cstephens 12-31-2004, 08:51 PM So, explain why Belle gets to be a princess? In that direct-to-video. I'm sure there must be a direct-to-video somewhere. "Belle Marries the Prince Who Looked Better as a Beast". Available at finer stores everywhere. Do any of the princesses wear wedding rings? And I've heard that Mary Poppins is at the Princess Character Breakfast at Plaza Inn. She's not even close to being a princess, so I don't think it's fair that she's there. marktips 12-31-2004, 09:18 PM Well, no, she didn't marry the Beast - she married the prince.
