Bitmap to JPG

How do you convert an image from Bitmap to JPG? I have a new avartar I made on microsoft paint and want to use it as an avatar. Thanks.

If you have a different graphics program installed, you can always open the BMP in something like paintshop pro or photoshop and save the file as a JPEG.

You should have everything you need to do it already on your computer. And it's very easy:

From Microsoft Paint (with the image open in it, of course), just go to "File" and then "Save As." There should be a pull-down list where it says "Save As Type." Just select JPEG from the list and then click the "Save" button.
