1. That's the IDEA!!!
2. I only get light headed sometimes after running around the park by myself, but i think my head was pretty empty to begin with, so it doesn't bug me.:)

And sometimes I get a little over zealous on Roger Rabbit which gets me a little out of sorts.[B]Before I went on it for the first time, I remember thinking that I was going to get very dizzy, but if you hold onto the wheel, and turn it the other way when it is turning, the spin shouldn't be that bad.

Yeah, but what's the fun in that? Actually, the only time it ever really gets to me is when I start treating it like the teacups. I can handle a little spinning, which makes the ride, but it's when I just grab the wheel and spin like nuts that I almost loose it.

The Carousel and the Tea Cups send my brain and tummy twirling!!! However, I did do the Tea Cups last weekend, because I didn't want to send my daughter on it by herself.....it wasn't to bad the first time. We went on it again later in the day...turns out the first time the purple cup didn't work well. The second time, our cup worked way to well.....needless to say, I still can't do the Tea Cups!!

Nothing at DLR makes me queasy or sick feeling. I guess I have good equal libriuim.....
even the Teacups don't get to me...unless you spin so fast that anyone would hurl.

There are some rides I would prefer not to go on...but they have no ill effects on my body...just my brain....(Stupidstar Limo for one).

me and my sister can make those teacups go from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds

Then we puke.

I wonder if that is where the idea for spin art came from?:D

Chris and I did an impromptu trip to DL tonight and went on the teacups while the parade was going on. The CM let us go for about twice as long as normal since there wasn't anyone waiting. We were spinning as fast as we could the entire time. It was great! Although I can't say I was queasy, I definitely was not as hungry as I was before the ride. I'm glad by body can deal with this stuff because its a blast!

It could be. If one does it in green and another in red, instant Christmas !

Speaking of barf art... there was a guy on Riplies Believe it or not and he also was a guest on Springer (which gives more proof the guests on jerry are fake) where he turns his "vomit" into art. I really hope nobody was eating while reading.:D

I have been dizzy on the tea cups a few times. I agree with some others here. The older you get I think the harder it is to handel. What a shame.

Do you want to experience the true, epochal moment of queasiness? That nausea that is so intense that your shoes don't matter because you're spewing just to live?

Of course you don't--no one does. That was a rhetorical question. I nearly made it to that point once back in high school. I rode the Mad Hatter's Tea Party--the set up. Then I followed it up with It's a Small World. The twirling of the tea cups, the rocking of the boats, and the playing of that insipid song nearly did me in. Only Small World's air conditioning enabled me to avoid the ultimate indignity.

Funny--Space Mountain doesn't bother me a bit.

And, my favorite ride, Dumbo. I can ride it BUT when my son gets the idea to go up and down and up and down and whoa, there is mom closing her eyes and praying for it to end. I don't stop him, it is his fun.
I know that feeling, but for me it's the Orange Stinger at DCA, never wanted off a ride so bad. OK, that is not quite true. The Ferris Wheel freaked me out and I wasn't even on the inside ring. Thank God for the observant cast member who noticed and stopped the ride so I could get off.

I'm scared spitless on the last drop of Splash Mountain, but I don't get sick on it or even queasy.
I hate that drop, but a strange thing happened the last time we went on Splash. I kept waiting for the I'm going to die feeling and it didn't happen.

After reading Jlivinski's post...I realized there are rides at DLR that I just as soon not go on.
Not that they make me queasy....they are just not fun for me...I am scared out of my wits.

The Orange Stinger is one. I hate those suspended chair rides. I always feel like the chair might let go any moment and I will fly off....and obviously get hurt.
The other is the Astro Orbitor....its not AS BAD now as it was when it was the Rockets. The ride scares me...goes to fast, too high (again, especially when it was The Rockets up on the platform), and only a small strap on it. In fact, I don't even remember a strap on the Rockets.

I'll take the Teacups any day, thank you!:)

You're right--no straps or seatbelts on the old Rocket Jets, and the way it tilted when you took it as high as it could go . . . used to scare the hell out of me.

Yep....I felt like I was going to fly out of the d***nd thing. I let my kids go with their dad...and smiled nicely from below...:)

That was the best part: no belts, no protection, way up high and tilting precariously. It was an amazing ride and I miss it so.

Unbelievably, I got queasy for a few minutes after riding California Screamin' the other day. What's up with that?

A couple weeks ago I rode California Screamin' three times in a row and didn't go back for a fourth cuz I was starting to get queasy.

Only once, after riding Test Track at EPCOT four times in a row after drinking around the world...

Riding the Astro Orbiter facing backwards so I could take pictures of my son and husband in the rocket behind me...felt really icky after that one.

And add me to the "not queasy but scared to death" of the drop on Splash Mountian list. I usually stay on the ground with the wee ones.

The sunwheel is the craziest ride. I didn't know what the ride was about when I first rode it. I swear I felt like I was going to fall into the lagoon. My friends and I were all screaming at them to let us out....but they wouldn't and made us go one more round. I seriously felt sick. No ride at Disneyland has made me feel so queasy as the sunwheel. ;p
