I just tried to subscribe but ran in to a few problems and wondered if anyone could help.

I wanted to use my credit card (Visa) to subscribe for a Premium subscriton but it returned errors on 2 fields. One State/Province, we don't have states and though we do have provinces (Go the Otago Highlanders!) we wouldn't normally put them in our postal addresses. The second error I go was with the Card Code. Ummmm don't have one. I've brought many a thing from sites such as Amazon US etc etc for years and have never been asked for one (My AMEX has one but not Visa).

Anyway basically it returned an error the 3 times I tried (This is the aprt I hope I'm not charged 3 times :)). If anyone can think of ways around this little issue I'd love to subscribe (Ps: Since I've just got back from a security conference I'm not too keen to use PayPal, oh the horror stories....)

Try sending a PM to Tony or AVP about your difficulties. They should be able to help you.

I'll answer here, since the questions are valid for other users.

1) The system requires states/provinces because for US and Canadian addresses, it is required. But the system can't tell that you are coming from outside that area. Feel free to put something in that field that's accurate. It won't cause and problems.

2) Visas and Mastercards do have a card code. It is the last 3 numbers printed on the signature panel of your credit card. Credit Card companies are requesting these be used for MO/TO (mail order / telephone order, which the Internet falls into). Especially since we aren't delivering a physical product that has to be signed for, this protects MP and the credit card company in case someone tries to dispute the charges as invalid. You can see more details here: http://www.mouseshoppe.com/policies.cfm#security. While Amazon isn't currently requiring the information, expect them to start sometime in the near future.

Thanks for the info Tony. I'm now a signed up member (Well at least the payment went through this time). Again, thank you.
