This is Your Last Newsletter For 2004
Thank you for receiving and reading our newsletter this season! Because PGA's last day of operation is October 30, this is the last Park newsletter you will receive in 2004. Your next newsletter will arrive a couple of weeks before the park opens again next year.
If you need to reach us, want to buy your season pass, or if you have any questions about our upcoming season, you are welcome to visit our website (http://www.pgathrills.com/) or contact us (http://www.parkfeedback.com/news/contactus.aspx?parkid=4) directly. We've certainly enjoyed having you as our guest this summer and we look forward to seeing you again in 2005!
Boomerang Bay to Triple in Size in 2005
This season, PGA introduced Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay (http://www.pgathrills.com/attractions.jsp), an Australian-inspired water park. Next season, the park will triple in size and cover nearly 11 acres! In addition to major additions to the water park, all of last year's favorites, like Jackaroo Landing, DownUnder Thunder, Didgeridoo Falls, Tasmanian Typhoon, and Kookaburra Cay will be back next year.
Construction on the expansion will begin shortly and include two brand new, not-yet named water slides, the area's longest lazy river designed for lounging and relaxation, and a lagoon filled with 150,000 gallons of water. Set in a tropical environment, families can swim, splash and float in paradise without the expense of a major island vacation.
Also in the works is a new changing facility for the whole family, making alternating between the theme park and waterpark even more convenient. PGA continues to be the only theme park in California to offer a water park inside its gates for one admission price.
In the next couple of months, our website will have construction updates and photos for those who can't wait for Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay to open in 2005!

2004 Has Been An Amazing Ride For PGA
October 30th is the last day of the 2004 season at Paramount's Great America, and what a season it's been! Over the course of 126 days, the Park has been a whirlwind of activity.
In 2004, PGA unveiled Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay™, an Australian-themed water playground large enough to contain 5.5 football fields. In 2005, the water park will triple in size, covering 11 acres and providing hours of family fun.
Known for starting the season with a bang, PGA celebrated Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, with world class fireworks choreographed to patriotic music. Over the course of the season, the Park hosted popular musical guests including Third Day, Toby Mac and Michael W. Smith. Guests loved being part of PGA's own entertainment at the Park's newest show, Paramount's Magic of the Movies LIVE, where Hollywood movie secrets are exposed and guests create some of their own movie magic.
High school seniors from all over Northern California celebrated their big milestone during Grad Night 2004, and younger kids lined the streets to catch the Nickelodeon Celebration Parade featuring their favorite Nickelodeon friends, 75 performers, floats and numerous opportunities to participate. TV fans were wild about the nearly 5,000 square foot Frasier Exhibit that celebrated the show's 11 year run and included memorable pieces from the set.
Hundreds participated in the 3rd Annual Warm-Up for AIDS Silicon Valley 1.5 mile fun run. The event looped through the Park and raised money for services and prevention programs. PGA also hosted the live finals of Sprint's Gimme the Mike. The event showcased the six finalists who were competing for the Grand Prize - a 2004 Chevy Blazer LS and 10 hours of recording time.
We've had a fantastic year! A big thanks to all of you who played in our 100-acre Park this season. You've shared your memories, your ideas, your thoughts on how we can better serve you, and most importantly, you've allowed us to become part of your lives and family fabric. Thank you.
We hope this newsletter has been informative, a fun read and helped you plan your Park visits. We'll spend the fall and winter fine-tuning and enhancing the format and be back with all the Park scoop in 2005. See you then!

Kids Say the Darndest Things
“My family is so lucky to live about 15 minutes away from Paramount's Great America. My one and three year olds LOVE the Park and we go once a week, even if it's just for a few hours. We've made so many wonderful memories at Great America. The list is endless, from the live Scooby Show to all the rides in KidZville to eating dripping ice cream cones while watching Reptar's Rafter. My three-year-old just started preschool last week and the teacher was talking about America and how it's the country we live in. My daughter kept correcting her, saying, ‘We live in GREAT America!" The teacher and I started to say something to her, but then we caught each other's eyes and realized that, yes, we DO live in Great America – in more ways than one!”
- Jennifer E. from San Jose, CA will receive two tickets to Paramount's Great America. Winners are randomly selected.
Treat the Kids to Nick-or-Treat
The only thing scarier than the boogie man is missing PGA’s Nick-or-Treat. Running Oct. 23-24 and 30, from noon to 4 p.m., Nick-or-Treat is a safe and memorable way for little ghouls and goblins to celebrate Halloween with popular Nickelodeon characters. The event includes a treat bag and map guiding costumed kids on a search for candy through Nickelodeon Central. Stick around for “Meet the Nictoons LIVE: Halloween Edition,” a half-hour meet-and-greet with Nickelodeon characters scheduled for 5 p.m. in Hollywood Plaza.
Winter Wonderland at Bonfante Gardens
Celebrate 12 nights of twinkling lights, an all you can eat holiday feast, toy soldier serenades and Santa’s Workshop during Bonfante Garden’s Holiday Lights. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend and running weekends through Dec. 19, Holiday Lights is festive family fun! Kids can use North Pole Express Mail Boxes to personally mail hand-written letters to Santa. VIP Passholders and WOW! Card holders pay $9.99 for admission to the Holiday Lights. For more information, visit www.bonfantegardens.com (http://www.bonfantegardens.com/).
