Are there any rumors of a new Disney Cruise Ship? I was told by DCL employees that a ship was in the works. I have heard nothing since my cruise.

Plenty of rumors -- just no facts :)

My guess is that if the West Coast cruises do as well as the DCL people hope (and I think they will) they could very well keep a ship there permanently and build a new one for Florida.
Anyone want to guess on a name? (a lot of the perfect ones -- fantasy, enchantment -- are already taken)
The Disney Happiness

During my Cruise, this question was asked and the answer was: "Maybe. We are not sure."

And at $500 Million a pop, I can see where this would be a huge commitment.

First came the Magic...
Then came the Wonder...
My guess: The Disney Dream. (Or Dreams, whichever sounds better.)
Second Guess: The Disney Wishes.

I suppose the "Disney Magic II" just wouldn't cut it for a company with this much imagination.

An official, name-badge wearing spokesperson of "Disney Destinations," the publicity arm of the Disney Travel Co, spoke at a meeting I attended last month.

The 3rd ship has already been approved. It will be assigned to the East coast. No name has been confirmed, but rumors (from another source) are that it will be called either the "Dream" or the "Imagination."

The 4th ship is in the planning stages. It will be assigned to the West coast. No name has been confirmed, but rumors (from another source) point to it being called whatever the 3rd ship is not.

Both ships are on hold until the dollar gains ground against the Euro.
