I don't know who has access to make technical adjustments to the forum, but here is a suggestion if it's possible to do. There's only the one "Mark Forums Read" button for all the forums. But, can there be one for each one of the individual forums as well? That way I can "clear out" the forums one by one instead of all at once.

When you're viewing a forum, under Forum Tools the Mark This Forum Read link should clear just the forum you're viewing. Is it clearing all forums for you?
