That's the question! Our almost-three-year old would be scared out of his mind inside that right. Hubby nor I have ever been when it's decked out for Halloween, so we're hoping we can go this week. However, I would like for us all to get to wait in line together.

Are all rides "baby-swap" friendly? Or just the e-tickets?

Thank YOu

I looked in the Unofficial Guide and HM is not listed as a ride where it is common to baby swap, but I don't see why they wouldn't let you. Just ask the first attendant you see and make sure all the other attendents you encounter know as well.

Just get FastPasses, and take turns on the attraction. I don't see any place more convenient to swap than a bench facing the RoA.

Thank you. As it turns out the wait was very minimal today anyhow. The first time we just walked right on, and the next turn just took 2-3 minutes anyhow.

This was my first time on HM all decked out for Halloween and allI can say is, "WOW!" I was very impressed.

Its allowed when the Holiday version is up, but once its back to regular mansion then they dont do the baby swap.

Oh thanks! We didn't need it last time, we just walked on (twice) but I have a feeling this knowledge may come in handy in December.

Where does the HM baby swap occur? At the front door? At the omnimover? Where?

It would have to be outside. Just walking in would turn my kids to jelly.

that's why I'm thinking a bench facing the Rivers of America would be the perfect baby swap place, especially if the line is ony a few minutes.
Swap at the door and ask the CM for a swap-fastpass.

What is baby swap?

Baby Swap is also called Rider Switch. One parent waits in the regular line while the other stays with a child too young to ride the attraction. When that parent comes off the ride, the waiting parent rides without waiting in line, with the Rider Switch Pass.

Cast Members at the entrances to the attractions hand out the passes.

After asking several times on our last trip, Baby swap is not available on rides that have no height requirement. In other words, if the baby COULD go on it, then you cannot get a pass to baby swap. We asked at Pirates first, and since there is no height issues and anyone can ride, they will not do a swap. Same with Haunted Mansion! We are going in December also and I hope the lines will be manageable!! Glad the wait wasn't too long for you!

As I'm reading this, Haunted Mansion Holiday Cast Members will hand out default Fast Passes as Child Swap Passes for the HMH overlay.

I haven't tried to do this before. The first year of HMH, I spoke with some management level CMs and asked them to please offer fast passes for that attraction because I know that I wouldn't try to take my young kids on it- they wouldn't handle it well.

I've spoken to Attraction CMs about this issue. Technically, many rides that don't have Child Swap COULD make accommodations if they had enough staff members. It would be up to the individual CMs, however, to make it happen. And of course some attraction queues with limited staff (like dark rides in Fantasyland) just can't.

The good news is that with fast pass, there is some more flexibility with rides like Pirates and HM.

Sorry, I did not clarify. I don't know about HMH, as we were there right before. But for the regular HM, Pirates and all of the ones without Height Requirements, we have always been told No. I too thought they should have allowed it for those two rides, even though infants and little ones can technically go on it. Hope they start to offer it, although both of mine ride now. I guess I'll have to have one more to try it out!
