HI,
So I have waited FOREVER to be able to take my children to D-land. Now the time has come and in 40 days we will be there. My son will be just about 8 months old. Any suggestions on what rides to take him on and things to pack?? Any ideas from parents who have done this would be great!!
Also, did they seem to enjoy it?? I know he won't remember much!!!
Any info would be so great!!

Fantasyland is good for infants. Almost all of the rides in Fantasyland are appropriate for this age. You can also ride the train and monorail. There are other attractions you may choose to ride as only you can determine how your child will do. Honestly, there are attractions that infants will be fine on and then when they are toddlers they will decide they don't like.
As far as things to pack, I would say the basics. Outfits, diapers, wipes, formula (if you need it), and other foods that your child eats. A good diaper bag is helpful. I would bring your own stroller. They have some for rental but I prefer my own.
My son is now 10 months old and enjoys getting out. I don't know whether he remembers things he's seen and personally I don't think that should be an issue. Quality family time is good and important. Bring your camera and take plenty of pictures. Take your time and don't try to rush through the trip.

Definately check out the Baby Care Center on Main Street. It has a room for breastfeeding and changing diapers. Plus, if it's hot out, it is nice and cool in there too if you need to bottle feed. They also provide things for sale (not quite sure exactly, but I think like baby food, formula, other baby stuff, etc.). And if you head over to California Adventure, they have a Baby Care Center too. That one is by First Aid behind the Tortilla Factory.
You might think your baby is too young, but we have taken our daughter to character meals at Ariel's Grotto. She was only 3 months, but she did enjoy seeing the characters. I know they have a breakfast with the Pooh characters in the Plaza in Disneyland. And others have said that you should take your baby to visit Mickey and Minnie in their houses in Toon Town. We haven't done that yet, but we will on our next trip.
Have fun!
Oh yeah, you should also get him his first pair of Mickey ears with his name on it. That will make a terrific picture!
Make sure you take a hat for him so he doesn't burn his little head.. :)
Fantasyland is great for infants, so are a lot of other rides... Pretty much, anything other than the "Mountains" As for what to pack, I just pack a regular diaper bag with formula, snacks, diapers, etc...
Have fun!

My son is now 9 months and he's been to DLR 3 times. Last time he rode It's a Small World with me for the first time. He loved it!
We are going again on 10/9 and I am going to try rides in Fantasy Land next.
Just pack everything for your baby and you should be ok. I agree on bringing your own stroller.

As you can see by my avatar the mickey ears do make a great pic. That is me and my four week old son. That was taken two weeks ago. We are headed back at the end of October. :)
