I will be going to Magic Mountain on Friday October 8. This is the day before their Halloween Festivities begin. i was wondering if anyone knew if this would cause more closures? Also, does anyone know what rides will be closed? Thanks!!

Going to Magic Mountain the day before Fright Fest starts shouldn't interfere with any attractions, except for Colussus (maybe) which runs backwards for Fright Fest. I would highly reccommend you put off your trip by one day or more to actually attend Six Flags during Fright Fest because its really fun and little bit different from all the other theme park Halloween events.

While its definetely not the best Halloween Event, it has some decent mazes and shows to see, plus, its not a seperately ticketed event. You pay for the day, and the Halloween fun starts after sun down. You can ride all the rides, then do the Halloween stuff. I imagine if you love fast, white-knucle roller coasters, the the scary-factor of Fright Fest you would enjoy as well.

But, in summary, all attractions should be open as usual (unless of course, there is a certain attraction, attractions, that are closed for rehab)
