We leave for DL on tuesday & I am so excited!!! We are debating on wether or not to take a stroller for our 4 year old. I really don't want to deal with one. We are staying at the GC, so we will be close to our room if she needs a rest. What do you think?

Yeh, I love that thread. Anyway, I say take the stroller. You could always leave it in the hotel, but either way, its there for you. As a stroller should be.

Don't know if this one will help but it talks about the benefits of packing stuff into a stoller.

Definitely take a stroller, preferably a smaller lightweight one.

I am going end of October and would not even think twice of not taking it for my toddler. She loves to walk and run but I know she will need a rest or a nap! So, we are taking one of the fold up ones that I borrowed from a friend instead of my big bulky one.

My vote is - yes, take a stroller. When my daughter was 4 I rented a stroller everyday we were at WDW and don't know how we would've done it without. Walking 6, 7, 8 hours a day is too much for a toddler. We are going with a 3 year old this year and I went out and bought a "mall stroller" for him just for WDW. These are similar to an umbrella stroller but much sturdier and have a large storage basket.

I could not live without a stroller at DL. I'm not just being mello-dramatic here either. Seriously, I think I would die.

If you have a toddler, please, take your stroller. Forget the kids, save yourself! Do it for your own good. Trust me.

With our trip last week with a 5 and an 8 yer old we were very happy to have a stroller. If nothing esle we didnt have to lug around a backpack (plus we also brought a small collapsible cooler for snacky stuff.) SOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice to be able to put them in the bottom of the stroller. And when the kids got tired it was nice to have.
So much so that we have even half seriously talked about renting a stroller even when we DONT have kids just to save our backs ;)

Magoo, where can I find this mall stroller? I have a heck of a time finding decent strollers here and need something light weight but sturdy. Those umbrella strollers are to flimsy and to low for me to use right. Thanks **Karla

I would never have made it with out mine for my 3 year old! not so much for him, because he wanted to walk a lot, but we had sweat shirts, foods, packages and all kinds of junk and with the stroller we just put it all in the basket. No way would I go any where with out a stroller,it was a godsend just holding me up at the end of the day!

I bought mine at Toys R Us. Granted it was quite a few years ago. It was basically a step above an umbrella stroller, light weight, folded down nicely, sun shade and large storage basket. It was $40 (the umbrella strollers were @ $20).

I would take it for sure. What we do with our older child is use it to go from land to land and then park it at one of the stroller parking lots to walk around. (removing our valuables of course) Worst case, you find that you have parked it somewhere for a lot longer than you thought. Now, I have a lot of trust in the fact that nobody is going to take my stroller - plus at this point my stroller has had a lot of wear and tear. The longest I have left it is about 2.5 hours, and had no problem whatsoever. Plus, for around the world at Epcot - its a must. I get exhausted myself!

Plus, then you can have it at the airport (if you are flying). It is a long way from the plane to baggage claim and you can move a lot faster without a four year old walker.

I have seen them in any of the stores such as Walmart, Toys R Us. I'm in Canada and they are approx. $130 here. Mine is a Graco, it is basically the same style as an umbrella stroller except is much sturdier, the seat will recline, has sunshade, cup holder, large storage basket and bigger wheels. It is quite a bit heavier than an umbrella but still light enough to carry on the bus or wherever.
