I have a client who wants to set up e-mail auto replies for information requests. I can figure that one out...just do a different auto reply for each inbox. How would you go about setting up an automatic fax? Also, does anyone know how to set up a 24-hour recording for customers to get info? I'm thinking that you'd just need to get one of those answering machines that has several mail boxes, but what if you want more than just 3-4 different recordings? Thanks. I've been getting very interesting client questions lately!

How would you go about setting up an automatic fax? That is usually known as "fax on demand," and depending on how many documents you are trying to offer, you're going to need software or professional hosting. Here is one company (http://www.copia.com/FaxFacts/88012.html) that offers both - I don't know them from Adam, but it will give you a basis primer in the process.
Also, does anyone know how to set up a 24-hour recording for customers to get info? I'm thinking that you'd just need to get one of those answering machines that has several mail boxes, but what if you want more than just 3-4 different recordings? If you want a single outgoing message, there are answering machines that will do this. If you want multiple outgoing messages, or a menu-driven system, you're looking at Interactive Voice Response (http://www.copia.com/FaxFacts/8806.html). Again, there is enterprise-grade software that will do this, or you can hire a call center.

Thanks, AVP. I was just thinking that I should take a look at something like WinFax to see if I can set up fax on demand.

As for the call center, we're trying to figure it out without having to hire a call center. I'll look into some software options.

For both the fax and recordings, we'd need multiple options depending on what the client is requesting.
