When they had the reward challenge, I figured that it would end up being more of a problem for the women. I call that kind of challenge the "reveal your true alliances" challenge, and it's been a big factor in previous Survivors. I figured all the men would get kicked out first, and then it would be very telling to see which women were kicked off first and how they'd react. Sure enough, Eliza went ballistic, and that expanded the rift, though apparently not enough to break their voting alliance - for now.

The boys couldn't even stick together enough to all vote for the same person, much less convince some of the women to jump ship. Totally don't understand why Chris voted for Sarge, and really don't understand the comment that he made.

I did think it was pretty mean of Lee Ann and Julie to only bring chicken wings back for the other women. How mad do you think the men are after finding this out and knowing they were grateful for the "bones" that were brought back?

Well, I guess now we know why Chris voted for Sarge.

But I can't believe Chris is the last man standing when he should have been the first one voted off due to his blunder on the balance beam the very first episode.

How long do the incredibly stupid Twila and Scout think they will be around once the men are off? They absolutely blew their shot two councils in a row.

I'm wondering whether Ami will be able to play everyone long enough to get to the final two, and if so, whether she'd win.

It seemed like Jeff was trying to tip people off last night because he singled her out as sitting there with a smug look on her face.

By the way, do they have a new person coming up with challenge ideas this season? I'm enjoying the originality of many of the challenges. Only thing is, does this person have a rope fetish or what? :p

Must be something to do with tieing up bikini clad women.

Hey - I think I'd like that job!

"sitting there with a smug look on her face"

How could you tell? When has she not had one of those?

I asked my mom this same question. I am wondering if they are really that ummm dumb?

They should have gotten rid of Ami ASAP.

Well, they shocked the snot out of Ami and LeAnn!! I could not get over LeAnn's exit statement, "I want to know who voted for me and they will be in trouble." It is a GAME and being voted out is part of the GAME. The previews for next week almost looked interesting, Ami going off on people for offing her friend.

I still think getting rid of LeAnn was too little, too late.

Twila is proving smarter than she looks--I'm glad they finally shook up the deathgrip Ami had on the group. Sarge and Chad were enjoying the drama on the other side of the fire.

Not at all - With LeAnn gone, and Julie always playing both sides, I think Ami is done. Scout, Twila, Eliza, and Chris, if they remain true to each other, are looking pretty strong. Ami will be gone the moment she fails to win immunity.

But the looks of LeAnn and Ami were priceless, weren't they? Finally a good twist to make the season more interesting.

Actually I liked the looks on Chad's & Sarge's faces even more. They were absolutly loving it.

Yay! I'd been waiting for a twist! When Twila suggested that Chris talk to Eliza....I thought it was brilliant! I was so shocked. Then, when Scout and Eliza actually followed through with their votes....we were all cheering. It's not like we didn't like Lee Ann, it's just that it's been so boring!

Finally. A twist! :)

Eliza looked all jittery and smug, Ami was so shocked, Twila had a poker face going, and Chris actually had tears in his eyes (he's my sister's favorite player), the other two guys looked really happy, but shocked. Fun stuff!!

You like LeAnn? I can't stand her! She's Ami's little.....well, it wouldn't be polite to say. She is smug and obnoxious and thought she ruled the roost with Ami. Good riddance, and hopefully Ami is next. If she wins immunity, I would guess Julie is gone.

Totally forgot to set the VCR, so I read the synopsis on the official website. Would have loved to see the reaction at tribal council when Lee Ann's votes were read. Maybe Ami's stronghold is crumbling.

I videotaped the episode if you want it. Let me know. Like stink said, finally something happened on the show -- you shouldn't miss seeing this one!

Ooo, that would be awesome if you don't mind saving it for me. Now I just have to figure out the next time I'll see you...

Ami is the one I actually dislike. She's too smug and bossy.

I kinda hope Ami gets immunity, to see what happens next. My guess would be an attempt at Scout.....or Eliza....or Chris....I don't think Twila would be anyone's target. I think they underestimate her. :D I know I did!

Finally! A great episode. That was good Survivor. Twists. Shaking things up. I loved it.

Sarge and Chad sitting on the jury nudging each other had me laughing hard.

At the beginning of the episode Eliza made a comment that, looking back on it now, was foreshadowing the events at TC. She said something to the effect of, "It's funny to see everyone who conspires against me end up getting voted out." It was Leann who felt it was better to keep Chris and vote Eliza out. It's because of her not sticking to the original plan and conspiring against Eliza that caused her to lose the game. (Well, that and also Chris's slick maneuvering with Twila's help.)

By the way, I don't find Ami any more annoying or dislikeable than I did Richard Hatch or Rob Mariano. She's had a plan from the beginning and, like every good player, is sticking to it. The rest of her "personality" that we're seeing could all be from the editing. Her only weakness I think is that she got a little too overconfident and let Leann talk her into voting out Eliza.

For those who watched the very first Survivor and Survivor All Stars, was Richard that different in the second one than the first one? I absolutely positively couldn't stand Rob in either of his appearances, but I actually liked Richard in All Stars. He was funny. I only saw the last 3 or so episodes of the original Survivor, so I didn't get any impression of him at all from that. Thanks.

Sarge and Chads reactions were priceless as was Ami's. Good episode :)

And yeah, cstephens, I begrudgingly like Richard on Allstars. I detested him in the original one, but he cracked me up the 2nd time around.

Richard was hated the first season because it was a new type of show and he was portrayed as "the villain." He was arrogant and self-important. He was the same way in All-Stars, but because we had other seasons with much worse villians, he really didn't seem all that bad. Also, we kind of grew accustomed to him. He rubs people the wrong way but is a very good player. He knows strategy and he knows manipulation.

Rob M. is very much the same. But people seem to hate him more because he's so vicious to the other players behind their backs (to the audience during his confessionals). But he's still credited as being a very good player that knows strategy and manipulation. And even though he didn't get the title of "Sole Survivor" from All-Stars, he was clearly the winner.

Amy is hated for what appears to be similar reason for hating Richard and Rob (even though I didn't hate either of them). She's arrogant, self-important, manipulative, and some even say a "man-hater." And up until last week's crucial mistake, she was a good player. It will be interesting to see how far she can go now.

Ami is a blah player though. She's not interesting to dislike, like Rob (I LOVE him!) and Richard. I usually like the "villains" because they're interesting, like soft-core porn Bryan. He was fun to watch! He was the bad guy and he won...and it was fun to watch it all unfold. :~D

Ami is just there. Smugly there.

I loved the twist. I didn't think it would happen. :)
