1. EXHIBIT NEWS: WHITE SHARK, OCEAN SUNFISH IN THE OUTER BAY
In the third year of our white shark field research project,
we've just brought a young 4-foot, 4-inch white shark back to the
aquarium from Southern California. She’s the only one on exhibit
anywhere in the world, and we're hoping she'll do well in the
exhibit. As long as she does, you'll be able to see her in person
when you visit. Or you can log on to our Outer Bay cam to try to
get a glimpse of her.
We've also placed two small ocean sunfish in the Outer Bay--the
first on exhibit in more than a year. These odd-shaped fish are
always visitor favorites.
Visit What’s New on our web site to learn about these and other
new arrivals in our exhibits.

2. ON THE WEB: MORE ABOUT WHITE SHARKS
White sharks have long been a source of fear and fascination.
Like all sharks, they're also threatened by human activities.
They're slow to mature, produce few young each year and fall
victim to commercial fishing gear and sport fishermen. You can
learn more about the threats facing white sharks, and what you
can do to help, at

3. PROMOTIONS & EVENTS: DIA DE LA FAMILIA, 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Sunday is a family day, with free admission for children age 12
and younger, family concerts and art activities.
