So, Michael Eisner, for 20 years head mouse in Disney's Magic Kingdom and latterly one of the most vilified chief executives in US corporate history, has finally decided to step down.
This is the man whose management style was described by dissident director Roy Disney (founder Walt's nephew) as "the singular imperial rule of an emperor". Those views were shared by many others.
