Yes, a lot of people from Belgium come for a 1-day trip to DLRP, but also people from The Netherlands. It's also very fast from London to DLRP, I takes something like 2 hours by the Eurostar high-speed train.
Geneva, Switzerland is also connected to DLRP with the TGV, and it takes only 3 hours.
I personally live in southern France, about 900km (560 miles) and it takes little more than 3 hours. What's great is that DLRP main station is right at the entrance of the parks, a 2 minutes walk only.
I prefer to get there by train rather than by plane, it's easier, fast and you don't have to take any shuttle, bus, taxi, etc... no stress! :D

We live in Belgium, next to the border of the Netherlands. We go to DLRP at least once a month and never by Thalys! By car it's only 3,5 hours driving! We leave mostly very early in the morning (3am) so it's very calm on the road.
Last time we went with the Thalys last year, it costed us something like 150 euro's for the both of us. By car it's a bit more then 60 euro's.

Thanks for the picture, it's fun to see the SNCF (french national railroad company) added a touch of 'fantasy castle' to its station entrance... :D
Yes I think it's very much possible to get there by car, especially when you live in Belgium, however I must admit I'm not very much into driving cars... ;) HE HE
