I'm not sure if this forum is the right place, but I figure parents would be better able to guage this question...

I'm not sure if it is just my changed perspective since becoming a parent, but it seemed to me that the volume on the attractions had increased substantially. The few I can think of off the top of my head are Pirates, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh (I know this is a new ride, but it seemed louder than I remember other similar rides being). Do you think it just *seems* louder to me since I'm protecting a little baby's ears, or do you think that they have actually increased the volume?

FWIW, I think it is just because I'm a concerned (read:overprotective) parent trying to protect my baby's ever so delicate ears. :p - My husband thinks otherwise. He was absolutely *convinced* that they had increased the volume on the rides, possibly for accesibility reasons.

What do you think?

Well- All I know is that when we had a trip down to Disneyland last year with 4 grown-ups and a 3 year old, all of us *thought* it was too loud- but the 3 yeare old was the one who SAID "it's too LOUD!" several times. He even wanted to leave the Buzz Lightyear show (and he's a big fan) before it was over because of the noise.

They have upgraded the sound systems in a number of attractions in recent years (Pirates was definitely one of them) and I agree that the audio levels are louder than they used to be. That's probably largely a result of the higher-quality audio systems that simply have more power.
