Did anyone else see this hysterical trailer??

Mike and Sulley playing charades with Sulley doing his best to get Mike to say Harry Potter and instead Mike comes up with other movies like Dirty Harry. It was great!!

I especially loved the end of the trailer when they said that you should go see Monster's Inc also. "It's playing at a theatre near you. Probably in the same theatre you're at now. Maybe even right next door". In fact it was playing in the theatre right next door.

The theater where we saw HP showed NO trailers at all. I hope this new Monsters trailer ends up on the DVD!

Oops I just remembered...

I think that one of the movies that Mike guessed was "When Harry met Sally" which had me rolling on the floor.

We all cracked up at this trailer. So clever. The "When Harry met Sully" line killed me. (he actually said "Sully" not Sally...if I remember hearing correctly, could be wrong tho) That is one of my favorite movies. They did an A-One job on that...knew they had the Harry Potter crowd, but still endorsed their already showing movie. Smart move.

That was an awesome trailer! For me, almost worth having to watch the movie.

That'll never happen. The studios may not be able to fully control what trailers are shown in theaters, but they surely can control what goes on their DVDs and there's no way WB is ever going to let a Pixar/Disney trailer on.

:D I meant, I hope it shows up on the Monsters, Inc DVD, not the Harry Potter DVD.

I didn't get that trailer darnit!

(sigh) guess I'll just have to go see Harry Potter again (oh darn! lol)

We got Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and some forgettable film that looked like my kind of supermarket-quality historical romance. I think that elicited some boos from the crowd, who wildly cheered for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings (Mann's Chinese)

People haven't seen it?!? Well, trailers all around, then!

Here we go: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/monstersinc/q_03charades.html

And for the bandwidth-challenged: http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/monstersinc/q_01charades.html

One of the few trailers I see that practically leaves me rolling in the aisles.

"Movie. Two Words. Star Wars."

I'm surprised that Disney|Pixar even acknowledged Harry Potter!

thank you thank you thank you for posting the links to the online trailers. I watched it over at the Pixar website and damn that's funny! I'm with Andrew, I hope it's on the DVD! I'm not a HP fan, so I wouldn't have seen the trailer otherwise. For a minute there I actually considered paying for a movie JUST to see the trailer. I think I'm officially "sick".

Adrienne, did you read the books and not enjoy them, or have you just not been inspired to read them?

They're just not my "thing." And no, don't tell me that this is different. Don't tell me I'd enjoy them if I read them. I might read them one day, but so far I haven't.

I'll give you an example: Kevin's co-worker and Kevin were discussing "Lord of Rings." Kevin explained that he was going to see the movie last Friday night because I was going to be at my mom's with the boys. His co-worker said, "Oh, but Adrienne would appreciate the scenery of the movie even if she wasn't as interested in that type of movie."

Kevin went to see "Lord of the Rings" and liked it. He looked at me when he came home and said, "No, you would NOT have enjoyed it."

1-I know what I like.
2- With two little ones, the effort required for me to see a movie, it has to be a movie I'm really going to enjoy just to go see it in a theater. (Nevermind the outrageous cost of movies these days. I have other things I'd rather spend my money on.)

AdrienneK...I am so with you on this....

But, I went to see Lord of the Rings...ONLY because my dear sweet husband diligently goes to other movies with me and the girls. He wanted my company...so I went. I am NOT a Lord of the Rings fan...but I went for him...
and I left angry. They just left you "hanging". Unless you have read the books...you have no clue what will happen. It just "drops" you in the middle of important stuff...
At least with Harry Potter (which I have seen twice)...it somewhat puts some closure to the ending.

I was the HUGEST Harry Potter nay sayer for years...until finally I bought the first book...everyone read it but me for months. I reluctantly picked it up...and was caught, hook, line and sinker. Now I have read all 4...Great stories....but I respect those who don't want to read them....
Same with the Lord of the Rings stuff...to me, its junk.

But...in regards to the movie prices....I hardly EVER go...unless I take my girls, or its something that I just HAVE to see. It's too expensive, and I'd rather either spend my money on other things, like saving to go to Disneyland...or shoes or something. Plus, I just find it a plain pain in the butt to get over to the theatre and fight crowds for such an expensive couple of hours.
I sometimes just as soon wait for the video or DVD.
