I have never visited WDW with kids this age and may be doing so soon. Any advice on what are the best attractions for a boy this age? I know that DisneyQuest will be high on the list, but I think that this is the time when things start to get "lame" and I want a good list of things he will like.

Thanks.

Magic Kingdom and MGM have video game areas. Epcot has innoventions. My son enjoyed those. If he likes science Epcot is great.

I have younger kids but went 2 years ago with my sister in law and her boys were 9 and 11. They did think WDW was "lame" at first cause they were used to the big coasters at Six Flags over Texas. However, they warmed up. They loved TOT and Rockin Roller Coaster at MGM. At Magic Kingdom, they liked the roller coasters, Space Mountain and Big Thunder. They also liked Splash Mountain. Epcot was a slow day for them -- They even thought Test Track was lame (Mission space was not there yet). They loved the Dinosaur Ride at AK. Favorite shows were the Indy Stunt Show, HISTA, Bug's Life 3D-- They did like the parades and fireworks shows. The more scary the ride the more they liked it.

At DisneyQuest, they really really liked the make your own roller coaster experience. But if you ask them what their favorite was -- They say Blizzard Beach. What ya gonna do??? I still think that my sister in law should have made a trek to Universal studios for them one day.

The past two I went my kids (being 10 and12 then) started to like EPCOT and MGM a little more then MK
I think. Had to fight with the 12 yr old son to get him out of innoventions. Both the kids were raised with a true love for Disney so even if they don't find things cutting edge or thrilling we had them prepped with the mind set of the total experience of the ride not just a 45 second rush. hope this helps
