Due to free admission with our Marine World passes, we'll find ourselves at Magic Mtn on a Wed-Thur(morn only) in a couple of weeks. Would appreciate any advice as to which coasters are likely to have the longest waits, as well as any that might not ever get too bad. We'll be in at opening, and I'm willing to spring for a Fastlane pass or two if need be. I know the rides on FL vary, but is there any predictability? Thanks, cheers.
X, far and away is the longest wait, I would make that the first stop. Deja Vu is the second longest, Riddler's Revenge the third. Viper has been a walk on for me the past few times. Batman can back up, depending on whether or not they are running two or one train. Scream seems to move fairly quickly even when busy.
In order, from my experience, the longest waits are: X, Deja Vu, Riddler, Goliath, Batman, Colossus, Scream, Revolution, Ninja, Viper and GoldRusher being walk on's. Slowest moving water ride line is Roaring Rapids, Log Jammer, Splashdown, Tidal Wave.

Chances are, SFMM will be running one-train operations on a lot of rides, and if so, watch out. On a slow Saturday last December, Riddlers Revenge and Batman were 2 hour waits, Ninja, Superman, Deja Vu and Flashback were all closed. We didn't do X and Viper because of the intensity for one of my guests. Goldrusher was a walk-on (the only one) and (to me) Revolution and Colussus just aren't worth the wait due to the crummy re-do of the rides. Scream really surprised me- they were running two trains, the line moved quickly, and I thuroughly enjoyed the ride. The clincher was Goliath- I've never been on it before, we waited and made it the last ride of the day. No indication of wait time when we got into the que. Between the one train operation, very slow loading times, and Fastlane users we ended up waiting almost 3 hours. Yikes! Longest I have ever waited for a coaster. I'd hit it early in the morning, along with X and Riddler. Have fun!

Thanks. Figured Deja Vu would get bad due to the one train situation, but it will be a drag if rides that can have more than one don't. Ironic that one of the worst lines I've ever experienced was for Viper during my only other visit to MM in 1991. How the mighty have fallen. Cheers.

The fastlane passes seemed WAY overpriced. We bought them anyways because the lines were so long. The fast lane pass line for Scream took about 40 minutes to get through :( When we went the line for X was averaging at 4 hours long. Most of the larger rides had a 2-3 hour long wait. That was a few weeks ago.

I think Six Flags MM has a similar issue with frequency of attendance at low cost.
Has a lot to do with the booming housing construction going on about 25 miles in every direction up there.
