After seeing the pictures of the new Lion King show I decided it was time for a short trip to DLP. I started to plan this trip and came up with next situation:

I’ll be going to DLP (August 28/29) with Bart (BF), my stepsister (17 years old) and Bart’s cousin (11 years old). This trip is meant to be a gift for my stepsister ‘s graduation and is also a birthday gift for Bart’s cousin.
Besides that we decided to make this trip a budget trip because we’re saving all our money for our vacation to Florida next year. :)

Bart and I have already been to DLP for many times, so we know what to expect.
My stepsister has already been to WDW and her mother just refuses to go to DLP because she has already seen the “real” thing over there. My stepsister really wanted to visit DLP too and I’m happy to give her this present. Bart’s cousin has never been to any Disney park. He always dreamt of going there, but his mother is a single, hard working, mother. She simply cannot afford a trip to DLP and that’s why we decided to take him with us too. Perhaps you can imagine that we want this trip to be filled with Disney magic because it’s their first trip to DLP and because it’s very possible that they won’t be able to go back for a while. I tried to arrange everything as “Disney” as possible (think about the limited budget). I managed to get a great rate at the Holiday Inn at DLP and I found out that buying two single entrance tickets is much cheaper then buying 2-day hopper tickets. So far so good.

We think it would be great to take them for a character dinner, but it’s not cheap. We are willing to pay the extra money for dinner at Cafe Mickey (I know lunch is cheaper, but we don’t like to eat so early), but we’re wondering if anyone of you has already eaten at Cafe Mickey. Is it worth the extra money? Will the kids like it? Bart’s cousin is a little shy and my stepsister is a “sturdy” girl, she’s going to serve in the Dutch Army next year. On the other hand I must admit that she still sleeps with cuddly animals and she loves to watch Disney movies.
What do you think we should do?

Café Mickey is a very good choice! The food is really good, not something you can eat in the park.
At a certain point, the song "Think" by Aretha Franklin will be played. All CM's will stop working and start dancing with the guests!

Thank you Raptor. It sounds and looks like the right thing to do.
