Heck, I would love to be on the board as my only job.

It's one thing to want to be in line with their "peer" companies, but to triple it all at once?! Plus, having worked with boards of directors of companies worth hundreds of millions of dollars...well, I just want to know what kind of work Disney's board does and how much time they actually spend on board matters.

GusMan, some of the board may have their normal salaries, but I can assure you that many board members (not necessarily Disney's) make a living being a member of several boards. Looking at the compensation in the article, I'm sure you can see why....

And, of course, the raises are effective retroactively to the last annual shareholder meeting, yet the shareholders can't ratify the change until next year's shareholder meeting, if they're given the option at all. "We're not enough of a travesty right now. I know! Let's triple the money that we're not earning!" Oy.

What a crock of you know what! We need to get rid of those idiots and Michael Eisner ASAP and bring Stanley Gold and Roy Disney back.
