I am planning a trip to DLR November 1-5. My son will have just turned 3. I initially thought I might like to go a day early to spend Halloween in DLR, but after reading several posts it sounds like Disney doesn't really do Halloween. Would you recommend spending the day at Knott's Berry Farm, or elsewhere, or would we be better off just sticking to our original November 1st arrival? Max doesn't like really scary stuff, but I'd love for him to be able to trick-or-treat since he'll be at a good age for it. I posted Knott's questions on the other theme park board if anyone is interested in visiting that post to offer more info. I'm thinking he might enjoy a day at Knott's since he really likes Snoopy.

TIA!!!

Don't quote me on this but I think Camp Snoopy is decorated for Halloween during the day, but I'm not sure.

I've been to Knott's Scary Farm which starts at night. Let's just say I was 20 and I was screaming my head off the whole time, so whatever you do, DO NOT take your children to Knott's Scary Farm that night.

If it were me I would stick to your original plans but do whatever you think your family will enjoy the most.

Last year Downtown Disney hosted some trick or treating in the afternoon. I didn't attend, so I can't really comment on how it was.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try to come down a day early. Mainly since I haven't been to Knott's since I was a kid, and I know Max would probably like to see Snoopy all over the place. I am in no way planning to go to Knott's Scary Farm. Do you think I'll be satisfied with just one day in Knott's? I sure hope so!!! I'll let you all know as the time gets closer whether or not we add the extra day to our trip, I'm leaning toward "yes", so hopefully it will work out.
