Hey guys, I'm hoping someone has an idea on what's possibly going on with my email! I have Outlook Express 6, still running Windows 98(no teasing now! :geek: )and tonight I went to check my email and it won't get past "authorizing" and it keeps popping up the logon box for my username and password(haven't changed)I click OK and it still says "authorizing" the box pops up a few times too.

HELPPPP please!

I was having a similar problem recently with my dial-up (now everyone has gotten 2 laughs in one thread -- but I do have DSL on order), different problem, but it seemed like it was a problem on the ISP side and not my computer. Anyway, it had been a while since I'd actually turned off my machine, and just doing that seemed to fix the issue. Don't know if that will "fix" it, but it can't hurt.

Mine does that too, sometimes. I do a restart, too, like Drince88 said, and it usually helps. I don't know why it happens and I don't know why it fixes it.

I also do a virus scan but nothing usually comes up. Only one time did we have a virus and it did mess with out internet and e-mail. Oh, what a sad time for me....

I digress...I hope your problem was solved.
