How is the heat for my trip in Aug to Sea wld & the zoo in San Diego? How big are these two places compared to DL?


August is pretty warm in San Diego--75-85 degrees depending on your proximity to the coast. The Zoo covers more than 100 acres, Sea World 60 acres--a lot of that includes enclosures for the animals (especially the Zoo). Still, plan on a lot of walking and a lot of sun. Be sure to arrive early at the Zoo--the animals are more active in the coolness of the morning, and you'll beat the crowds. Be sure to carry water with you and of course--apply the sunscreen.
