Red White and Boom Celebration at LEGOLAND® California
Fourth of July Weekend Rocks North County San Diego!

CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 8, 2004) -- LEGOLAND® California serves up a star-spangled Fourth of July weekend celebration this summer with fun activities for the entire family. Festivities will include a red, white and blue fireworks extravaganza and interactive American Flag model-building events.

The park is offering extended hours for the holiday weekend from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. The family theme park, with the help of Pyro Spectaculars, Inc., designed and developed the firework shows, which incorporate patriotic music and are punctuated with strategically timed pyrotechnics. The firework shows begin at 8:30 p.m. on each night. On July 4 only, guests will be given special souvenir fireworks glasses, which turn every dot, dash and twinkle of light into a cascade of shimmering rainbow colors. This show will also be simulcast live on Authentic Rock KPRI - FM 102.1.

These stirring patriotic tributes will light the night skies over LEGOLAND California's Miniland USA, where a 1:20 scale Washington D.C., New York City, California Coastline, New Orleans and New England and the new Florida cluster are depicted in astonishing detail with more than 20-million LEGO® bricks. The six U.S. regions spotlighted will be sporting additional American flags in honor of the Nation's birthday.

Each day, park guests will help build a huge American flag out of 7,200 red, white and blue LEGO EXPLORE® bricks. The completed flag will be 8 1/2-feet long, 4 1/2-feet tall and weigh more than 150 pounds. All weekend, there will be added entertainment featuring Uncle Sam on stilts, live music and much more. The American spirit comes to life as patriotic themes are showcased throughout the 128-acre park. As a special treat on July 4, the All American Boys Chorus will provide entertainment at 4, 5 and 6 p.m. This July weekend, head to LEGOLAND California. It's star-spangled fun for the whole family.

LEGOLAND California is a 128-acre family theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. Just like with LEGO toys, kids are the ones who make things happen at the Park. They drive, pedal, squirt, climb, jump, stomp, slide, steer, pull, click, push, gallop, laugh, build and program their way through more than 50 rides and attractions. There are only three other LEGOLAND parks in the world -- LEGOLAND® Billund in Denmark, LEGOLAND® Windsor outside of London and LEGOLAND® Deutschland near Günzburg, Germany.
