Well, the Del Mar Fair opened (I hate the new name) today....

I saw my first REAL FRESH Churro cart (as allowed by California Law as of January 1st, 2004).... I will never have a Frozen Reheated Dough Stick again!!!!

Filming of the new Discovery Channel show "BIG", a HUGE Claw game.....

A Haunted Maze with live actors (same folks who do the Haunted Hotel in Downtown San Diego during Halloween)... well done!

Yep! The crew from The Haunted Hotel did a GREAT job on this NEW SD Fair version of a Horror Walk through! Lots of live actors and some good scares! Some are funny too. Nice surprise to find it there after the same old cheesy dark rides year after year. (The 'Haunted House' dark ride is still the best of the old time traditional dark rides at the fair though. They take good care of it.)
But the Horror House walk through with the live 'scare actors' is worth your 6 tickets. Beware...pretty darn scary for little kids...it's the real deal like you might find at Knott's Scary farm...buit we liked it better!

a huge claw game? Can you play it? I think that might be worth the price of admission right there!
