Hi. We are planning a trip for December 20-26th. One thing we like to do is relax by the pool in the afternoon. We are staying at the GCH.
Is swimming a possibility in December? Thanks.

It will probably be a bit chilly in the air, but I'm pretty sure the GCH has a heated pool, so a dip should keep you warm.

It's always a possibility, but it'll probably be "cold" as cold gets here in So Cal...meaning 60's or 70's during the day. If it's sunny out, it'll probably feel like mid 70's.

Perfect! It will be freezing at home, so 70-75 will seem balmy. The way I see it, anything above 75 is wasted anyway! Thanks so much!

All things are relatvie. I come from Portland, Oregon, where it sunshines about as often as LA gets rain. Ive been down to Disneyland a few times in December, and every time my family and I took a swim durring the HOT afternoon. Pretty much had the pool to ourselves on many of those swims :)
One thing to watch for; some hotels use these Cold times to refurbish/clean their pools---make sure to ask if the pool is going to be open durring your stay.
PS: Visited Disneyland in mid-November of 1997---average high temp durring our stay = 91 degrees

That's what I about to say...it's relative. If you're coming from a cold climate, it'll definitely be warm enough to swim! Just make sure the pool's open and heated!
sleepyjeff, got married in middle of November...grew up in this wacky weather, so for my wedding dress I chose long sleeves in case it was cold but off the shoulder in case it was hot. Turned out it was in the 80's.

I was there (down from Seattle) in early December and it was cold there! I couldn't believe it. Totally not warm enough for swimming unless the pool is heated. In fact I was amoung the minority wearing shorts at the park and I couldn't believe that. Most people had coats on. Crazy!
So be prepared for "unseasonal" CA weather b/c it can happen.

I shouldn't have said definitely...it'll MOST LIKELY be warm enough to swim if you come from cold weather, but you never know!
