Thanks to Lisa Perkis for one of my favorite MousePlanet articles!

Tours of DL have never interested me ... until now. This one sounds fun and actually worth the price.

The price doesn't actually seem that bad compared to some of the prices for tours in WDW. And a ride with Mary Poppins on the carousel; how cool is that? Lots of great character interaction on that tour. Thanks for the write-up.

Why is Mickey making that movie—it's already finished and I have it on DVDBEST LINE EVER!!!! (Where was I when she asked that!?!?! I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face!!)

I got to take the tour with Lisa and crew, and I have to say: the part where we commandeered the Tom Sawyer Island raft, waving our "swords" and "hooks" and wearing our pirate bandanas and eye patches, was the most fun I've had on Disney property in years.

The cast member interaction was hysterical - the raft skipper asked if we were taking *just* the raft, or did we want have plans for the island too? I said, "Arrr.... we be making that decision after we sees the island," and he laughed.

Then the Mark Twain came around the bend, and the skipper pointed to the raft we were standing on, pointed to the Twain, and asked why we'd pirated the smaller craft. "I never said we be smart pirates, now did I?" Woody happened to be on the bow of the Twain, and he hammed it up as the boat passed us - all of the little pirates on our tour loved it.

When we made the return trip from the island, we were no longer pirates (part of the "story" we were following), and we had to wait in line for the raft. I KNOW several of the adults on the tour were wishing we had a pirate garb back, so we could hijack the return raft. It was just too much fun.
