On Slashdot (http://slashdot.org/) today is a link and discussion (http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/06/06/1845201&mode=nested&tid=137&tid=159&tid=186&tid=216) about modding (http://www.robotprojects.com/bigtrak/bigotrak.htm) a Big Trak (http://www.80snostalgia.com/memories/bigtrak.html). I had on of these. It was, I think, my first programmable toy (though Merlin (http://zappa.brainiac.com/cdyer/reviews/merlin.html) may actually have come first) and almost certainly one of the first internally complex devices I successfully reassembled after taking it apart. Of course, I have no idea where my old Big Trak might be after all these years. It's good to know, though, that I could always get one (http://search.ebay.com/big-trak) if I really wanted to.

I always wanted one of those. One of my friends had one. I had Robotix. Not quite as advanced.
