OK, here's the deal. We have replaced the "new" vB smilies with the old, yellow ones. Yes, your old friends :real roll eyes: and :non-radiated fish eek: are back, just as you knew and loved them before.

Now, we know that for every person who HATED the new smilies, there is going to be another person who wants them back. And I fully expect the "I *liked* the color smilies" thread to grow just as long as the "I hate the color smilies" thread did.

Once you've had time to adjust, we'll have Smiley Survivor again, and you'll all get to vote on whether to bring back some of the new ones, keep the old ones, or introduce entirely new new ones.

Note that post icons are not changing, just because we wanted to leave you something to complain about.

For those still seeing that hideous green thing, go to Tools->internet options, and click "clear files" under the Temporary Internet Files area.NOTE: that only works for PC users. For Macintosh:

Safari: Under the "Safari" menu, chose "Empty Cache..."
Explorer: Under the "Explorer" menu, choose "Preferences". Selct "Advanced" (under "Web Browser"), and then click the "Empty now" button under "Cache".
Netscape: Why the heck are you using Netscape?!?
