Anyone else going? Its this week in Los Angeles at the Convention Center. If you at all like video games, its the place to be.

I am going for business reasons, but also get my fill of the tons of swag being handed out. Probably end up giving it to my friend Art who sells stuff on Ebay. Last year, I probably left there with 10 t-shirts and so much promotional items it wasn't even funny. Played a few games too.

I know some people in the industry who absolutely hate attending E3 - but they gotta do it.

Yes, I'll be going (for pleasure), but only for one day. :(

It is just me, or has the quantity and coolness of Eł swag been lacking the past couple years?

Consider taking the subway. If you park in North Hollywood or Universal City, its just 3 bucks roundtrip (day pass) -- and you don't have to pay 10 -15 bucks for parking.

Take the the red line the the 7th/Metro stop. Switch to the Blue line upstairs and take the first stop (PICO). It's that simple.

Just returned from E3

As usual, the Disney booth is DEAD, DEAD, DEAD.

Saw The Incredibles game which look okay.
They were also showing a Chicken Little game.

You think they would at least hand out one piece of swag -- hence why they don't do well at E3. Noone is going to visit your booth if you don't entice them with something. Well, also, their games really don't attract the interest of E3 attendees.

Other than that, left today with 4 different t-shirts, about 8 PS2 demos, some mouse pads, a bunch of pins, pens, stickers & posters.

Anyone else get some cool swag? Going early early early tommorrow. I actually want to play some games.

Can the public attend?

I've had friends attend in the past, but they were in the industry. I'd love to go one of these years as an interested bystander.

Did anyone see anything outstanding this year?

Can the public attend?Technically, no. It is an industry-only event. That said, it's not difficult to get a ticket. I don't work in the game industry and I've been going for years.
