These are the first quarterly earnings since the March 3rd Annual Shareholder's meeting withhold votes, since Michael Eisner stepped down as Chairman of the Board and George Mitchell stepped up to that position, since a string of disappointing box office results since January, since the economy improved and people seem headed back to the theme parks, since Disney's California Adventure's version of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror opened, since Comcast dropped it's bid to acquire and merge with Disney and since Michael Moore's, Miramax's and Disney's dispute concerning releasing Moore's film hit the headlines, and since Florida Feature Animation closed it's doors officially. CNBC or CNNfn or most news and financial entities in print or broadcast will have the news Wednesday or in Thursday morning financial newspapers. Expect that SaveDisney.com will also issue the usual counterpoint press statements about those earnings and quarterly results, too.
